Our last few days were at the Inn on the Bay and was a fitting end to a fabulous fortnight. As previously noted every aspect was excellent. Normand and Louise;s charm friendliness and humour were infectious. Normand now has solar heating connected to the pool so swimming comfortable. A big thank you to our hosts for a memorable stay.

It is difficult to say new things about The Inn on The Bay - it has all been said before! My wife and I have just returned from there, having enjoyed 7 fantastic days at The Inn. We are experienced visitors to the Caribbean having visited several islands every year for the last 28 years + and I can tell you that Normand and Louise's hospitality is second to none. They are true professionals. We stayed in room 3 which was lovely, it was so peaceful, we both had the best nights sleep possible. The bed was so comfortable, Normand was on hand very early setting up breakfast, he brewed fantastic coffee which was on offer from 0700 then Louise's fantastic baking was ready to be enjoyed from around 0800. Nothing at all is too much trouble Normand, runs you up and down from the bay, as many times as you like, we found all the restaurants in the bay to be excellent. We particularly liked Chateau Mygo, and Huriccane Hole, the baguette coffee shop in the marina is also excellent for an inexpensive lunch, they do an excellent burger, they also serve an excellent fish Caesar salad. We spent most of our time on the small beach area beside Dollittles restaurant, we ate once there, but used it more as a local bar, lovely staff there to greet you. There is a good supermarket in the bay where you can buy alcohol to take back upto The Inn and pop it in your fridge, to enjoy whilst sitting on the deck as the sun goes down. We can't wait to return and without hesitation, would recommend The Inn on The Bay to those who want enjoy the generous hospitality that Normand and Louise have on offer. You will not be disappointed.

Located on a ridge between Marigot Bay and the Caribbean with stunning views of both, this boutique hotel is well appointed and its unrivalled reputation is built on the friendly service and hospitality of its owners, Normand and Louise. It feels like staying with friends you have known for years. Louise's home made breads and muffins, different each day, supplement a continental buffet breakfast with a wide ranging choice of cereals, fruits, cheese, toast and confitures. Evening meals are not available but Marigot Bay has seven very good waterside restaurants and Normand provides a daily no-charge service to take you down to the Bay and to bring you back. Normand also advises on places to visit on the island and will arrange the excursions by land or water taxi to ensure you see the best of St. Lucia. A great place to stay with truly personal service.

My wife and I stayed with Normand & Louise for one week in mid January 2013. We stayed in the upstairs Room 4 "honeymoon suite" which is a very well equipped large double en-suite with high ceiling, fridge, table and sofa (see pictures). No air-con but a cool caribbean breeze blowing through the room all day and night make this a much better natural alternative with bug screens on the widows to keep the little critters out.

Normand & Louise are the perfect hosts. Normand takes a genuine interest in your excursion plans and helps with any organisation required and is always happy to transport you down to the town and collect you later in his car both during the day and for dinner in the evening up to 10pm. If you want to walk it is about 15 minutes downhill.

Breakfast was a varied assorted collection of fruit and cereals and toast with the highlight being Louise's home baking with a different flavour cake or muffin every day - really excellent with lots of guests coming back for seconds. Sitting outside your room overlooking the bay was a great way to start the day.

We hired a car from VC rentals down in the town for 4 days and were a bit worried on the way in from the airport as we did not see a single road sign. Normand took the time each day to sit down and show me on the map which turns to make identifying landmarks along the route. Opinion is mixed on this subject but I would personally recommend the car option for the extra freedom and exploring as although the roads are windy there are not as many potholes as we were expecting and very little traffic outside the main towns.

Inn on the Bay is simply a lovely place to stay. If you are looking for a boutique personal style holiday experience you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: All very good - I think room 4 upstairs is a bit larger

It's hard to know what else to add to the other complimentary reviews. Great hospitality, clean rooms and stunning views. As mentioned by previous guests, this is a cosy place where part of the joy is in meeting the other guests and relaxing on the verandah or exploring Marigot Bay which is a beautiful place.

Admittedly, you can't really walk to and from the Bay but Normand is always on hand to ferry everyone to and from free of charge. The pool is a bit small & cold but hey, walk down a few steps and you have direct access to the sea with some nice snorkelling (masks and snorkels provided) as well as a beach in the Bay.

So if you're looking for an intimate, family run, boutique guest house in a fairly exclusive location then this is an ideal place for you.

My husband and I stayed at The Inn On The Bay for 5 nights over New Years. We couldn't have been happier with the hotel and the service. Normand and Louise were waiting for us upon our arrival (cold Pitons in hand!) and helped us arrange everything during our stay. They had great recommendations for everywhere on the island.

Normand and Louise invited all of the hotel guests to join them for dinner on New Years Eve at Chateau Mygo. All of the guests came and we had a great time! We then watched the fireworks from their balcony.

One thing to keep in mind is that it is a bit off the beaten path. The pitons, volcano, gardens are about 1.5 hours away by car (very windy roads). But Normand is happy to arrange transportation. I would not recommend driving--roads are windy and not well marked.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Having read all the previous reports before booking our stay / arriving at the Inn on the Bay it was hard to see how it could live up to expectations - but wow it did..!! - from the first moment you meet Normand & Louise it's like holidaying with your favourite family members who live in the most beautiful spot possible. We spent the first week in Sandals Grande - like chalk & cheese but we would choose the Inn on the Bay everytime. Everything has already been wrote by previous guests from Normands taxi service up/down the hill to great restaurants combined with his continual jokes which keep you smiling at all times of the day -Louise and her perfect healthy breakfasts - muffins freshly baked each morning - to the most perfect view over the bay - I think my best moment was waking around 6am to feel the cool air blowing through the room - the birds already singing - the blue sky against the green of the trees - just to lie there for the next hour contemplating the day ahead within the tranquility of the surroundings...just perfect.
We will defiantly return ASAP - the beauty of the area convinced us to sponsor a local families children with our support towards their education as spending time in such a perfect location with perfect hosts convinced us we wanted to give something back to this special community.
Thanks Normand & Louise - we will see you again soon as you are both now friends not just hosts. Gary & Heidi.
