“Nice site”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

This is a nice site to see. They certainly love Che in Cuba. There was not much action at the site though.

“Che rememberd”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2014

The Che Guevara museum in Santa Clara is a must-see stop if you are passing through. This controversial historical figure is honored in a very heroic setting. A highway cuts a very large plaza in half. On one side is a gigantic statue of Che towering over his mausoleum and museum. To one side, at ground level is a large portrait of Hugo Chavez. Neither of the Castro brothers is in sight. Inside the mausoleum, the spot holding Che's ashes is marked only by a simple red star. An eternal flame burns nearby. No talking or photography is allowed. Across the hall in the museum, the tour begins with an innocent statue of the boy Ernesto. The displays follow his life through college and into the hills around St. Clara where he won the Revolution. One is constantly reminded that one man's terrorist is another man's hero. There is little presence of the Castro brothers save for a few photographs.

“Tick it off the tourist checklist”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

O.K. Dont make a special trip here. Very touristy, busy and crowded. It was very small also. If its busy, they make you queue up. Parking along the main road (2 cuc). We found many people begging for cuc here.

“Very powerful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

A fascinating insight into the historically momentous events that led to the success of the Cuban Revolution - and also into Fidel, Raul, Che and their comrades in that struggle.

“Interesting insight into the life of Che”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

Lots of pictures and guns (many, many guns) with pictures of Che's life. Worth the visit if you are in Santa Clara.
