“Excellent meal, but service was so so”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

We visited Cabo at the Viceroy with our friends for Valentine's Day. The Viceroy is simply an amazing property, and we often have drinks at the Sunset Lounge (which we love). We decided to try out Coba for the special night. The restaurant itself is visually quite stunning and impressive, with large open spaces and modern decor. The meal offering that evening was prix fixe, so there were very limited choices for my non-seafood eating husband, but the kitchen did try to accomodate him, which we appreciated. That said, and it may be due to the fact that it was a very busy night due to Valentine's Day, but service was rather unpolished (perhaps untrained?) and our experience was only fair at best. Additionally, we were a table of 4 rather lost amidst numerous tables of 8 or more, and while wait staff were swirling around those tables frequently, it took a very long time (maybe 20 minutes?) for anyone to pay attention to us to take our initial drink order, and then we waited for someone to take our meal orders. We felt completely ignored. I think the wait staff finally realized that we were being neglected, and to their credit, tried to make up for this by paying closer attention to us for the remainder of our meal. Regardless of our highly disappointing service experience, our meals were excellent (my scallops were to die for!) and it was mostly a lovely dinner.

We're happy that you enjoyed your Valentine's Day dinner with us and must agree that the scallops are delicious! We are, however, sorry that the service did not match the dining experience and will make sure to address this. Thank you.

“What a nice view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

Really nice atmosphere overlooking the ocean. Good food too! I wouldn't stay at this hotel, but
Always like to dine there. Very New York scene and busy. It's never quiet and calm, but certainly
A nice meal.

Viceroy Anguilla's design intertwines with Anguilla's nature environment and accentuates the island's beauty. This extends to Coba, whose ambiance makes it a perfect place to dine out!

“Faultless”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014 via mobile

This is the only 5* review I've given so far in Anguilla, but it's well deserved. Coba is located in the glitzy Viceroy Hotel ( which is sort of Manhattan- on- sea) but serves excellent Italian food in a beautiful ambience. No more expensive than other so- called top-end Anguillan restaurants. Recommended.

Coba was very good. The service and ambience was a 10 out of 10. I would say the food is a 8 out of 10. It is very good and fresh.

The ambiance at Coba is definitely one-of-a-kind; Anguilla's gorgeous blue waters are the perfect backdrop for a meal in our signature restaurant. We hope that you will get a chance to sample the new menu created by our new Chef, which is definitely a 10 out of 10!

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I dined here on Christmas Eve. We were both disappointed with our experience. We got the salmon and the Mahi Mahi. The salmon was very bland, which is unusual for salmon and the Mahi Mahi was extremely salty. We also found the atmosphere was a little cold. The restaurant felt like just a large room without any real personality. Almost convention-like. We won't be going back to Coba. It's way overpriced for what you get.
