“Delicious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

The food was really good, very friendly service. We recommend cheese cake which is really unforgettable,
Great choose of the local food and the full information about the content and the type of preparation.
The only minus is that it is rather expensive place.

“one of the best Restaurants in Asturias !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Amazing location, service and the most important food!
High quality food from Asturias, very good prices and excellent service.
They offer a high variety of local food, drinks and desserts !

No words to describe the "solomillo al cabrales" and the home made cheese cake ! I never tasted a cheese cake like this.

Service highly recommended, they were very nice and really take care of all details and making you enjoy the place even more.
It was a nice experience sitting outside in their incredible terrace with nice mountain views and enjoying the meat and service, while drinking good Wine.

Just perfect to enjoy local food
I highly recommend it !

“Recommended: Best place in town to dine outside. Nice food. Wifi.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

Of the 4 restaurants we tried in Arenas, this one gave us the best overall experience.
It is 30 metres from the main road, but enough to be away from it. It is higher up, with a green pasture next to it, so it is a bit in-out of town. The terrace is nice.
TIP: You cannot park a car right next to the restaurant, but finding a place nearby is no issue.
We tried to book dinner by phone in the afternoon, but got an answering machine. Within 2 minutes, however we got a phone call back from the lady of the house, so nice reactivity.
We arrived early for local norms (20h15) and had a nice table waiting for us. The lady of the house was very welcoming, and we got the menus right away. Service remained good throughout the evening, though the gentleman serving was more friendly than efficient.
THe food was very nice: we took salmon two different ways, which was very nice. Croquetas were grand, as usual, and the meat was also very good. We picked a local rose wine which (as previous reviewers have comment) was very nice. The cholocate desert had one issue: it was really too small (yummy).
Overall, a very nice place to spend the evening in a relaxed outdoor setting. The kids connected their iPads and we all had a good time.

“Good menu de noche”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

The restaurant was unattended for several minutes after we entered, but then we were shown to a table and the menu explained. The set evening menus are priced for two people. We felt less than welcome when a group of spanish men were served before us, and our bread rolls were slammed on our plates by an unsmiling waiter, and we nearly left the restaurant. However, we were glad we stayed as the meal was excellent, and the waiter did eventually smile. We chose a set meal which included wild mushrooms in local cheese sauce, and we too thought the house red wine very drinkable. Oh and we enjoyed the background music as it included some 60's favourites.

“Best (only) restaurant in town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

There isn't a huge choice of restaurants in Las Arenas, so we went to La Panera twice. The food was generally very good, although I would agree "potatoes cabrales" is just chips with cheese. The monkfish was very good, as was the beef. The house wine was very cheap, but surprisingly drinkable. Service was a bit variable. The first night, when it was fairly quiet, the service was good, but on the second night, when it was very busy, people were professionally ignored. Over all I thought it was good food and good value.
