Just landed this morning after 10 nights at the hotel. Very friendly staff who cant do enough for you and they don't mither you. Pool is awesome, really clean freshwater and bigger than most other budget hotels. Food was really good when we ate there with plenty of good restaurants nearby. Nice 15 min walk down to the beach front as we were worried we would be a little far out from Marmaris. You can tell the owners are working hard to improve your experience. Would be a 5 star review just the cleaning service lets it down. They need to change sheets and towels a little more often but that's just nit picking. Overall we loved the place and the people and would love to go back.

Room Tip: pool views are great and you can see Marmaris Marina in the distance

Have stayed at the Sayar twice before and enjoyed. The owners are really trying hard to improve the apartments, for example my apartment had an electric shower, new bed and new furniture as well as laminate flooring. The apartment was cleaned every day and new towels at least every second day.The grounds are kept very tidy and clean and the pool.None of the staff nagged for me or my wife to eat or drink there and the food I did have was fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of bar/restaurants near by.All in all a really nice place to stay. One more thing-there is a cockerel in the area who can be a bit annoying in the mornings.

Room Tip: Best rooms are overlooking the pool

Stayed with a pal twice now and both times really enjoyed it, very welcomming friendly and nothing to groan about.
The locals also very helpful couldnt have wished for a better place to stay.
Enjoyed the easy walk into centre of town all in all a great experience.

it was our first trip to turkey so i went with an open mind ,having read mixed reviews about sayer apartments.we loved it.There was a problem with our first room but we were moved straight away .we had a lovely room overlooking pool with balcony. The rooms were clean but basic.it suited us.There is only aircon in the bedroom not living room so got quite hot at night .The place itself is lovely and clean and quite spacious with big reception area to sit and read plus another floor with sofas to sit on.The pool was a loively big sized pool with a small kids pool.It was kept clean every day.the poolside bar was great and the food lovely.we ate quite a few meals there thanks to Ali who does a mean pizza and spagetti bol. who also got us up dancing during the day.it was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was really lovely to have them to talk to guests and play with the kids..This should b encouraged more as it is appreciated .Lots of places to visit outside of sayer and loads of places to eat.spoilt for choice. The sayer is being refurbished and as it was late in season there was no organised entertainment but hopefully next year there will be.you could see all new things being built and the refurb taking place.my children and i met up with some lovely people while we were there who we stay in contact with .so u never know we might meet up there again next year.

We are currently staying in the Sayer apartments, and I can honestly say the staff and facilities are excellent. The rooms are spacious and very clean (the maid comes in every day) with large balconies with access from both the bedroom and lining room. The food in the bar area is very good we have had a number of meals there and have found them to be good value for money and very good quality. I would recommend the pizzas and the breakfast is really nice with proper bacon and sausage. The level of service provided by the staff is excellent, they are very professional and courteous and nothing is too much trouble. There is a large swimming pool which is very clean loads of sun beds well spaced out so you do not feel like sardines crammed around the pool the grassed area has more sun beds on which catch the tea time sun for all the sun worshippers. There is free wifi which can be accessed from all the rooms and is surprisingly quick.

Just to correct a few of the previous comments which have been posted in the past.

One comment was made about the staff not speaking much English.

You are in Turkey what do you expect everybody in the world to speak English? Try learning a bit of the Turkish language. A lot of Brits me included are very lazy in terms of learning different languages when going to different countries. We found if you explained clearly what you were after there was no problem with the language barrier and the majority of the staff we were able to communicate with you without a problem. The staff have no problems with laughing and joking with the customers to the point where the chef and barmen get up dancing at the poolside with the children on an afternoon.

Dogs barking all night.

Rubbish. Attila is the little dog which lives at the apartments and she is a good little guard dog but more than that she is very friendly. The majority of the time she just chills out on the stairs the rest of the time she is having a wander around watching what is going on. She does bark a little but what dog does not. When you’re in your room you don’t hear her very much.

Steps always wet.

There are clearly marked signs out now to tell people the steps may be slippery when wet. If any area is wet the wet floor signs are there straight away.

The rooms were basic but nothing worked, Fridge, two ring burner had to be changed, and guess what from the room "next door". The shower was hand held due to the fact it had been broken off and was not due to be replaced until the next refurbishment????.

Everything in our apartment worked fine. Where do you expect them to get a replacement quickly from the local store I guess then you would have complained about the time to replace it.
If anyone has stayed in Turkey before you will know the showers get used a lot we had no issues with the facilities. The good thing we found that there was always lots of hot water for a shower even after 8pm which is unusual as everyone usually showers before then a nice surprise.

The air conditioning was expensive at about £40.00 per week and with the amount of water leaking on the balcony into an old water bottle which we had to empty a couple of times each day.

No its not it is the standard going rate in Turkey at the end of the day if you not want to pay for the air conditioning you could always open the door to the balcony. As for having to empty the bottle from the air con unit a few times a day you must never have left your room and had the air con running full blast 24 hours a day. We empty our bottle maybe once a day which is not a problem.

I apologise for the rant on but I feel a lot of the comments made on here are unjustified. At the end of the day if you want a reasonably priced apartment with excellent facilities, good food and very professional and courteous staff and no hassle stay here. If you are looking for the Ritz pay the high end prices down by the beach but you will be disappointed.
We have been to Turkey 11 times now and would rate the apartments, staff and facilities in relation to price as excellent value for money and we would not hesitate to return in the future.

Room Tip: Normal size rooms have 2 beds and 2 chair beds. Larger rooms have more beds..
