“Normandy/Brittany tour 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

We stayed in 5 different places during this tour of brittany and this ws the best by far. from the start we were relaxed by Ann who made us feel welcome and comfortable in our fantastic room. The levels of trust made the stay even better we were left alone which would never happen in the Uk. The breakfast was world class with home made confiture and a wonderful clafoutis, Ann seemed relaxed at all times always with a smile! We are comiong back for 4 or 5 nights next time!

Room Tip: We stayed in Quessant a room that is spacious and private

We stayed here in early October, 2012, and I have been meaning to write it up ever since. This is a beautifully renovated farmhouse in an excellent location, near the sea, right in the middle of a protected wilderness area with hiking trails, and only about 30 minutes drive from the lovely town of Quimper. After 30 years traveling in France, this was my first visit to Brittany, and now I understand why people say it's the most wonderful region of France. Anne was a lovely host, and the rooms are a sophisticated amalgam of country and modern decor. (Their website is very accurate -- if anything, the place looks better than the photos.) Every breakfast had delicious baked goods made by Anne, most of which were traditionally Breton, like the caramelized apple clafoutis served in individual cocottes, and the tender, buttery Far Breton. She also served imaginative jams made from fruit grown on the property, like berry-hibiscus, pear-vanilla, and apricot-poppy, and treats like the wonderful local butter with crunchy sea salt, and yogurt with sea-salt caramel. The house has some nice features like a shared refrigerator for your picnic goodies, and outdoor tables for good weather. The family has an adorable French bulldog named Fermin, who is a charming and energetic little guy. (He won't bother you if you aren't a dog person, and he is not allowed into the inn, but if you love dogs you will love him.)

Room Tip: So quiet out here! Our room Ouessant was lovely, with a high ceiling and lots of space, and an aweso...

My husband and I have just had the privilege to stay in this lovely B&B. We stayed in 2 rooms during our stay - Ouessent, slightly more expensive and stunning with a high, beamed ceiling, fantastic bathroom and its own outside space and Belle Ile which is just as beautifully decorated, generously sized, very quiet and with hydrangeas and roses growing around the windows. Anne, our hostess, was great! She was so welcoming, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful in advising us about Brittany and where to visit. Her homemade breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and her clafoutis was to die for! Personal touches, such as champagne on our wedding anniversary and candles to light our way back to our room in the dark made everything very special. The B&B is also fantastically placed, with a lovely beach about 20 minutes walk away through fields and woods, the pretty ports of Sainte Marine and Benodet just a few minutes drive away and many beautiful Breton sites nearby. Thoroughly recommended!

We ended up staying only one night in this fabulous B&B and, as soon as we saw our room, we wished we could have stayed longer.
The B&B is run by a very enthusiastic hostess (Anne), and you can feel she loves what she does. She welcomed us with a glass of cider and apple juice and then suggested nice places to visit.
The room (we stayed in the Ouessant) is just excellent: comfortable bed, nice private external area with sunbeds and beach umbrella; the room has nice little things and is very well furnished and has a lovely big bathroom with both shower and bathtub.
The breakfast was just excellent, with crepe, cakes, juices, jam, panna cotta etc etc.
A lovely French Bulldog, named Firma, lives on the property and he just loves to play!
Highly recommended!

I stayed here with a group of photographers. The rooms were beautifully decorated as well as spacious. The rooms were not only charming, but were completely modern from the plumbing to the WiFi service. La Ferme looks like it came from the pages of Architectural Digest. Anne, our hostess, made us all feel welcome and at home here. Her breakfasts were outstanding. The breads, pastries, and jams were all made on the premises.
La Ferme is very photogenic; it would be easy to spend a week just taking pictures of La Ferme and its grounds. It was close to Quimper and the picturesque towns of Bretagne. This was an ideal base from which to explore this area of Bretagne.

Room Tip: All the rooms here are delightful

I spent 8 nights here, 4 of them with a group of amateur photographers from Canada and the USA. This was an ideal place for us. Ann was ready to anything for us, the rooms were gorgeous, comfortable, spacious, and calm with photogenic decor everywhere... a testament to Ann's talents as a designer. The gardens were in full bloom with blue hydrangeas, and lots of colored roses. The breakfasts were delicious and large with lots of choice. Ann made cakes or breads or creamy yoghurt.. something different every day. Homemade jams, pure apple juice and salted butter were in abundance. The farm is only two minutes away from a beautiful undiscovered sandy beach... with the pretty port of Ste Marine just down the road. There were all sorts of little vignettes and lovely corners for us to photograph without even leaving the farm, which is situated in one of the best regions of Brittany, within easy reach of Quimper, Ile Tudy, Douarnanez and all sorts of other delightful places. We did not want to leave... I wish I could give it six stars it is so very perfect.

Room Tip: All the rooms are wonderful, some are on the ground floor some are up some stairs. Some have a priva...

We had the luck to stay 4 nights at this beautiful house. We received such a warm welcome from Anne, who offered us cidre on our arrival and ideas what do visit and see. The best tip was to go and see the return of the fisherboats. That was a great experience!

We stayed in the room Belle Ile which offeres a lot of space and is very tastfully decorated. The house has 5 guest rooms and every room is decorated differently.

The day always startet comfortably with the delicious breakfast. The breakfast room is bright, with big windows which offer a nice view into the garden. Every morning the breakfast was a little different, with strawberrys one day and crepes another day. And Anne was always there to offer a little chat and infos about the weather.

The location of the house is great as the nearby St. Marine and Benodet are very lovely places and the nearby beach is beautiful. The garden is full with beautiful flowers, which gives the place a nice and peaceful atmosphere.

We hope, we will visit this place again sometime!
