This was our second stay at the Olway and it was just as good as the first.
Its good value for money (£79 for a superior room). The room was small but had everything you would expect, including biscuits, small bottles of water and nice toiletries. The bathroom was a good size and nicely fitted out.
We had a friendly welcome, with not too much form filling and no credit card required. The pub has a wide range of beers and ciders. The food is mainly traditional pub food, served either in the bar or restaurant, and is freshly prepared to order. It was very good and very reasonably priced, as is the wine list.
I would recommend this hotel either for a weekend break in the countryside, for a stopover from the north on the way to or if you are on business in Newport.
