My husband and myself spent last night (8 November) at The Olway Inn as it was my birthday. We had a lovely time. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The food delicious and there was a good selection of wines, beers, ciders, etc. Matthew and his wife were very welcoming, not forgetting Charlie the cat and the waitresses (nothing was too much trouble). We would certainly stay at The Olway Inn again and definitely would recommend it other travellers.

My husband and I recently spent a weekend at the Olway Inn after receiving a fantastic review from a friend who stayed in the summer.
The owners Nikki and Matt made us feel very welcome and at home. With excellent home cooked food- with portions that even my husband found hard too finish! and a modern, clean and well equipped bedroom we had the most wonderful weekend away.
After reading the previous review I cannot understand what some people expect from hotels. The Olway is a reasonably priced venue that represents good value for money. Compared with some very expensive hotels we have stayed in before I think this beats them all!

The standard of food at the restaurant at the hotel is outstanding. We ate there at lunch time (two meals for £10 - a bargain!) and also twice in the evening. On all three occasions the food was faultless, the sevice was very pleasant and the portions extremely generous. Everything was so fresh and worth the wait - food is cooked on demand. We particularly liked the treat of unusual homemade puddings.

I have stayed at the Olway Inn on and off for a year or so since it was recommended to me by a colleauge. I have never been disappointed. If you want a change from big impersonal hotels then the Olway is the place to stay. The owners are always welcoming and have a great passion about the job they do, working very hard to ensure the personal touch is maintained.
Although not overly big, the rooms are spotlessly clean and well furnished.
Special mention must be made about the food. Everything is freshly home prepared from locally sourced or home grown ingedients. Whether you eat in the bar or restuarant, meals are always well presented with good sized portions.
In summary this is a top notch pub, restuarant and b&b with clear aspirations to go further due to the hard work and enthusiasm of the proprietors.
