“A nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

we were there for 1 week. The hotel is simple but nice. The personnel was gentle too. It has an excellent location, in front of a wonderful beach. it's also close to the centre of Agios Nicolaos, there are bus to go there. The restaurant of the hotel is good and the price is not expensive.

rooms are clean, small for more people than 2, good garden, meal excelent, sandy beach, good approach to the sea, big waves - not for children, water was cold, next the beach is meeting the river, that is too cold... a lot of pools, drinks are available all day from automats, also coffe and beer, water... in pool bar snack between meals, hotel does not provide any activities, no music during the evenings, animations are provided via german TUI animators - everything in german language - also disco for the children - too much speaking and no dancing, children were bored, personal was kind, around the hotel is nothing, no additional hotels...

Room Tip: rooms in the garden are great, in the main building is better to have accomodation on 1st floor beca...

First impression is that we have got cheated with the hotel on the photos and real picture. But its only first 30 min. Afterwords its getting better and better. Two kids 3 and 5 boys liked it very much. Swimming pools are great(deep and shallow, sea water and normal water), Sea beach and service just perfect. Food served everywhere. In the restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner, as for small bite french fries and cookies at the swimming pool. As drinks for free. For kids perfect conditions to learn swimming animators and security guys watching kids while swimming. Kids disco and later concert for grown ups. Very cosy very family. Enjoy.

It's a very nice And comfortable hotel for taking sunbath and trying greek kitchen (worth of interested option is all-inclusive). Poor location - I think the ugliest surrounding in Crete - an electric station just by hotel which ruins the view but also it is a bit noisy.
About hotel itself - great stuff, but You must be active if something goes wrong. Stuff pays a lot of attention to German guests, we were the only polish family in that time. But to say the Truth if you asked about something You have got it.
Meals - gorgeous. Vegetables, fruits, meat And fantastic greek cheese!
Nice pools, free hotel beach, great restaurants, beaufiful but tiny hotel park where You can take a walk or rest. Rooms very clean And comfortable for families.
Money - I think a bit too expensive if You take under consideration the location. But worth of visiting And spending time laying on the beach or consuming great food.
Enjoy.

you can get a bus at the airport and get directly to the hotel paying very little. The hotel is next to the sea, half an hour by bus from the city of Heraklion and offers good food and good facilities. The spa is well equipped and you can get good treatments. One problem i came cross was the lights in the playing cards room that were not the best.

Room Tip: The rooms on the fifth floor are very good and you can not hear the noise from the swimming pool and...

We stayed for three nights in this hotel before embarking on a cruise. We liked the setting very much, it had a really tropical garden feel to it almost as if you were in Thailand not Crete. The food was great, plenty of choice not just standard Greek dishes. The beach was okay but as many reviewers have mentioned the view it is spoilt by the oil depot just a few hundred yards away. Still you can't see it from the rest of the hotel garden and pool areas, so if you're not a beach person then it wouldn't really matter. Rooms were clean and comfortable and of a high standard. Staff friendly and welcoming, the reception staff particularly helpful. We love animals so we weren't bothered by the fact that there were a lot of cats around the gardens especially on the dining terrace or the resident dogs who sat at your feet like faithful friends! But it might be everyone's cup of tea, so to speak.
Overall, I would recommend a stay here, we stayed here in October and it was quiet and peaceful, don't know what its like in high-season.
