My partner and I spent three nights in this hotel during June.

There is about 14 rooms in the family run Villa. Our room had a private bathroom and kitchenette. The rooms were modern and well furnished, although had two singles rather than a double bed. The air-conditioning was a plus as was the satellite tv.

The villa is located right on the beach and has beautiful views of Split. It is actually located in Podstrana about 20 minutes by bus outside of the centre. There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel and they run into the centre every 30 minutes, this is the best and cheapest way to get around.

Nearby there is some small convenience type markets. If you walk along the beach in the evenings you will come across several scattered restaurants. The Le Meriden Lav Hotel is also close by and this is a good reference point for taxis as they may not know of the Villa BB.

Breakfast is available in a small restaurant on the premises at €5.00 per person. It consists of bread, cereal, fruit, eggs and omlettes, with juice, tea and coffee. If you have a room with a kitchenette it is probably better just to buy your own.

The family that runs the hotel speaks ok english, enough to get you by but not a lot. The hotel will also do your washing for you if you ask, we found this was easiest rather than taking it into town and trying to find a laundromat.
