“A little happy place!”

Its like to come home, so cosy interior and the food is nice and rustic. They have a good selection of beer, which comes great with a shot!!

“Impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

This is an impressive place. Maybe my review reflects that my expectation for real food is rather low when going into an in piste restaurant of a skiing resort, but the guy that worked there truly amazed me. Their food is home cooked, with real ingredients. Much more than you can say about most restaurants even though they have way easier access to fresh ingredients. The guy is really keen to serve good, very hospitable and a big plus that he knows about wines as the well.

Their gulasch soup is authentic, home made, using home made real stock and good meat. Really tasty accompanied by fantastic bread.

The moose sausage is simply fantastic. Comes from a moose shot nearby and the sausage is rustic and made by the owner before season starts. Nice, balanced, wild flavours. It comes with home made potato puree and mustard type sauce also home made with whole mustard seeds. I also has a coleslaw like salad, which is tons better than any coleslaw i have ever tasted. He gave me a nice italian red wine with the dish. Opened a new fresh bottle for me as he wanted the dish to go with that wine.

He also a good skier and has good advices for the slopes and great stories about off piste skiing of you are interested.

It is THE place to lunch in the slopes of Åre.

“Nice lunch restaurant in the slopes”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Not as crowded as the others in high season.
Serves traditional lunch as it should be when skiing.
A minus for the bad selection of music
