“Decent Room but VERY Noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

I spent one night at the hotel recently. The room I was in faced the bar (which was closed), however people were partying until around midnight...if you stay at this hotel DO NOT stay on the bar side...

We spent 2 nights here during a closure on the Alaska Highway. The room was clean and spacious with nice pillows and a comfy bed. We were not on the parking lot side. Our room was quiet had a nice view of the grounds. The staff was friendly, helpful and the coffee in the lobby was yummy. A rack of books to share, tons of TV channels and they will even pick you up at the airport if you fly in. We appreciated the speedy WIFI as our cell phones had no service. A nice family run establishment that is aware of what travelers want today. Highly recommend.

After a stunning but long drive along the Stewart-Cassiar highway it was real treat to stumble upon this hotel on our way to Whitehorse. The couple that run the place were so warm and welcoming - we arrived quite late into town (when everything was closed) and they even offered us dinner! So sweet. The rooms were simple but immaculately clean. Bed was super comfortable! It was nice to have free (and fast!) WIFI and lots of TV channels. Lovely quiet area, we both slept like rocks! Will definitely be staying here again upon our return from Whitehorse in a few months.

We were on a trip to Whitehorse and traveled along the Stewart-Cassiar. I was a little concerned with what we might find at Deas Lake as accommodation before or after was relatively non-existant. I need not have worried as Northway Motor Inn was fine. Our room was clean and bed comfortable. The owners were great and helpful. There is a restaurant close by; however, I would recommend getting there early as it can get crowded out pretty quickly. We did go looking for Deas Lake but after driving down a narrow dirt road for quite aways decided to head back as we were not certain we were on the right road. My advice here would be to check with a local before venturing out too far to take a look at the scenery. We would certainly stay at the Northway again should we be in Deas Lake.

Room Tip: If you want a kitchenette, book well ahead. We didn't and were actually lucky just to get a room...

Owned and staffed by a husband and wife who are always smiling and friendly. They're also very helpful. They do the work themselves. The rooms are large and clean. They offer rooms with kitchenettes or basic rooms. Starchoice TV and fast Internet connections. Internet has been upgraded. Free coffee and Tea at the front desk. Overall, no complaints at all. An excellent deal for the price and a very pleasant stay. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: If you need a fridge or microwave, ask for a kitchenette. Book ahead as it's very busy in the s...

the room was a basic small town motel but it was roomy.
had a fridge & free wi-fi (i was quite surprised)
luckily i booked a couple of days in advance as it is pretty busy there.
a tour bus pulled up right after i checked in.
the man was relatively friendly though the woman (his wife?) could learn to crack a smile
