“wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

It was everything we expected and more...very cozy rooms, a great view of Tapalpa and a delicious breakfast. The price was reasonable, considering the full blown breakfast we were served. Service was excellent, the managers went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. I recommend highly.

Beautiful experience, from the moment you walk in you fell the warmth the whole place is just welcoming, you can chose to just relax and get lost in your thoughts while you enjoy the views, or share a romantic moment its inspiring; the rooms are not only comfortable but have a cozy fell to them and the fireplace is a plus, although you have modern technology (iPod speakers, TV with cable) it does not lose its middle of the wood charm. The quality of service is superb, the staff is just great and that makes it even more special, they go the extra step to make you stay more enjoyable, we got back from town and we went to the terrace to enjoy a bottle of wine, the brought out cushions for us to be more comfortable, open the event room in case we needed anything from there, in the morning you have coffee and fresh baked bread waiting for you, breakfast out in the patio, pampered. Every detail is already taken care off you just need to show up and enjoy. Thanks to the hotel staff for making our stay so wonderful, can’t wait to come back.

Room Tip: Second floor is better; it has a better view. Room number 2 (first floor) has a little noise in the...

This is a very special place. It is so gourgeous and inviting you won't want to leave. The views of the surrounding mountains and the volcano Nevada de Colima are breathtaking. The balaconies and courtyard are adorned with all variety of flowering plants and beautiful hanging lanterns. The rooms and open areas are appointed in a very attractive modern, colonial style. There are so many places to sit and relax and enjoy the ambience and serenity of the place. Breakfast was delightful. The staff were very attentive and courteous. This place is a mix of Shangri-la, handsome colonial hacienda and secluded mountain lodge.
