It was an interesting experience, as we were the only ones to play the course that week-day in November (2012). Apparently this is not unusual, as the course is within a private housing development. The owners visit during the week-end at which time the course is busy. The price was very reasonable, $350 pesos for either 9 or 18 holes. We really enjoyed the golf course, but it is not easy. It has a variety of tees, and the challenges one faces are significant. The course has lakes, ponds, streams, ravines and sand to challenge the player. The condition of the course was reasonable, and the layout exceptional. We walked the course, but it does have its ups and downs. In the heat 18 holes can be a bit of a struggle to walk. There was one pull cart available but not in good condition. A power cart was also availlable at a price of $320 pesos. We would recommend you bring your own clubs and pull carts. There was only one negative and that being the rough. It is immediately adjacent to the fairway and is inpenetrable; a ball that enters is a ball lost. Bring balls. All in all though, it was an excellent experience, especially the cold beer on the terrace of the hotel after the game. Highly recommend the experience. One final point: we made our reservation thorugh our Tapalpa hotel. Because of the inactivity during the week the pro-shop is often left vacant, so it is important that they know in advance that you are coming.
