“Nice to experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

We liked the Grotto but it was difficult to manoeuvre around on all the rugged rocks and uneven terrain. Also you can only get inside the cavern if you are willing to be part mountain goat and scale rock to get yourself down into the cave. It is a 45 minute hike to get there from where you park your car so be prepared with adequate footwear and drinking water. The scenery was beautiful but a bit of an effort to get there.

“Natural Scenery - Gorgeous!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

The Grotto and The Indian Head Cove are beautiful gorgeous places to see in Bruce Peninsula Park
Both are unique and different.
Clear Clean Blue Water, Blue Sky - Must visit place. - Fabulous - Very relaxing.
Must visit on a bright sunny day and the temperature should be more than 21C, otherwise water is cold.

There are few important things to note:

Enter 'Cyprus Lake Road' from Hwy 6 to Grotto and Indian Head Cove. No park signs closer to this road on Hwy 6.It is between Dorcas Bay Rd and Emmett Lake Rd)

There are two parking lots P1 (1 km to walk on gravel road) and P2 (2 km Cyprus Lake Trail and 1 km gravel road). Must go early, at least by 11.00 am on a busy day (Sat/Sun).to get a spot in P1. If you are offered parking at P2, drop your kids and elderly people at P1 and one can park in P1 and walk to Grotto.

Climbing down to and up from Grotto is slightly dangerous (some may say adventurous),any how do not rush, watch your step always. But if your are fit do it. Careful.

Other than that it is a must see place, we had lots of fun. We were excited. We loved it.

“Fabulous :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013 via mobile

Great 30 min walk through the forest to Indian Cove and the Grotto. Nicely shaded before the sun trap of the Cove. You can climb down to swim in the Grotto but easier if you wish to swim in the Cove. 5 mins scramble over the rocks between the Grotto and Indian Cove

“Gorgeous!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

A must see, I couldn't believe my eyes! We were lucky to grab the last campsite available but that was for one night only, unfortunately. Campgrounds were full and we went there during the week! Once I saw this place, I understood why. Indian Head Cove beach is all rocky but stunning; water was very cold even in mid August (that did not stop us taking a dip, it was the most clear water I ever saw!) And The Grotto...totally worth climbing down to get inside the cave!! (easier to climb up, going down it's a bit steep but most people were able to do it without any incidents, you just have to be careful and wear the proper footwear; I had water shoes on and I was fine). Going back for sure, for a longer stay this time.

“You can't miss this!”

A beautiful wonder of nature that you must see! Just be aware that this does require some climbing down over some rocks to actually see the grotto and the deep blue pool of water.
