“Sunset Cruise the best value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Did the sunset cruise which we really enjoyed. Had a good night for it but not necessarily the best sunset. All the folks I dealt with from the company were very friendly and helpful. It was nice that they were willing to pick you up from you hotel and drop you back so you didn't have to worry about finding parking in town.

The cruise goes close to the coast on the way out but on the way back you are farther away from the land. If you want pictures take them on the way out since there really isn't much to shoot on the way back. The cruise also provided blankets if you got cold or you could go downstairs.

Probably one of the better values for the type of cruises offered.

“Very friendly and professional”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We rode the Zodiac named Zephyr. All staff were accommodating and professional. The trip was fun. We appreciated the trip to see the wrecks in Big Tub Harbour. Flower Pot Island was beautiful. It's too bad that some visitors choose to leave their garbage for others to pick up and do not respect this treasure of nature. We were happy to have a ride out to Flower Pot Island courtesy of Blue Heron Cruises - well run operation.

“Fun Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

We took the two hour boat cruise. We really enjoyed our time on board. It is two hours and the little children who were on board became restless or cranky by the end of the first hour so you should keep that in mind if you are going to select one of the tours. We sat inside at first (there is no designated seating) and it was difficult to hear the tour guide. But once we went outside, we could hear all the stories. I would definitely go again but I wouldn't take as much stuff along (unfortunately someone always had to sit inside with our stuff) and I would definitely have selected a seat uptop.

“Blue Heron Flowerpot Island Cruise”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

The boat ride was fun for the first 30 minutes or so, then it got boring and cold. I would say it was okay at most :) The cruise fee should be lower than it was.

“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013 via mobile

Took the Flowerpot Island Express to its namesake. Boat ride was like being on an amusement park ride: I.e. fun. Island has some beautiful views. Clear, clear water reminiscent of the Mediterranean, but many degrees cooler. Express stops over the wrecks, but if you want a better view, consider one of the other Blue Heron boats that have a glass bottom. The island paths are very walkable. Lots of up and down, but not requiring exceptional athletic ability. Flowerpot Island is a must-see if you are travelling to the Bruce Peninsula.
