We stayed at Molland for five week days in September and frankly we were bowled over by both the house and the location as well as our hosts Traci and Steve. First the house: if you favour standard eurobox modern then the house will be a novel experience for you. The bedroom/en suite was modern, luxurious and comfortable and the dining/breakfast room is a pleasant mixture of country house and Victorian styles. All of the foregoing is fitted around the medieval/Tudor architecture of the house. We loved the contrasts of modern standards and convenience dovetailed with the quirkiness of the building. The location: nicely tucked away in its own grounds and very quiet. The nearest civilisation is Sandwich where you can experience the full on bizarre layout of a medieval town centre. Beware they roll the streets up in Sandwich at 1730 during weekdays. Traci is the person to get advice from about places to eat in the immediate area including Sandwich. The hosts: I can only echo the comments of Helen C, Traci and Steve are brilliant, friendly and attentive - if only more hosts were like them........! Are there any negative points? Watch out for the wasps, for us they were ever attentive but maybe it was just the time of year. On your arrival Traci will brief you on the breakfast routine - PAY ATTENTION! Breakfast is ordered the night before and you will be asked to nominate the time you want to eat it. My advice is to be there on time as your breakfast will be. Overall verdict - we loved it and the acid test is would we return? Absolutely.
