“Lovely welcome and the most comfortable beds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We stayed for 1 night recently. We had a lovely welcome and felt 'at home' immediately. After the best night's sleep (away from home) I think that we have ever had, we wondered down to breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, everything local and home cooked, even the bread. Excellent quality all round.

Room Tip: Go for the four poster. It is a little dearer but the bed was so comfortable.

We have stayed for a few days twice during the last year, to visit our family in Norwich. Richard and his staff are the perfect hosts, instantly attentive without being intrusive. Each time our bedroom and bathroom have been delightful. Breakfast is excellent - quality and choice - as is the evening dinner menu when we have chosen (at short notice) to 'dine in'. On our last day we brought our family to see the hotel - they were made entirely welcome by Richard and his staff. We are now a part of the fan club ,,,. 'Stower Grange - Simply Great'.

Room Tip: Both of the rooms we have had have been large, quiet and very comfortable. And the towels are divin...

Our Son and Daughter in law was married at Stower Grange this August 4th. Nothing was to much trouble for Richard and his team of young, pleasant and efficient waiting and bar staff. The proceedings all flowed beautifully and was all carried out in a most relaxed atmosphere that was enjoyed by everyone. We stayed in a most wonderful room overnight and enjoyed a superb English breakfast the next morning. Stower Grange will be my first choice for any function we should have in the future. Thanks once again for a wonderful weekend.

We have stayed in many hotels throughout the world but this place is just fantastic. It was my wife's 70th Birthday bash and we stayed overnight. From our first meeting with Richard, the owner, nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff (including the youngsters) gave excellent service throughout our stay and none could have done more to please. Our room was spotless, the ensuite excellent and the food likewise. Will definitely will be returning again.
Thanks must go to Tim and the other Richard who looked after our party on the day. The chef also did an excellent job with some of our guests having different dietary requirements to others.

On a recent trip back to England from the USA we stayed at Stower Grange for 4 nights. The place was just as good as ever our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was newly renovated. The owner and his staff were extremely attentive and made our stay very pleasant. A full English Breakfast was freshly prepared each day. If you want a comfortable hotel with a large amount of English Charm and great location be sure to stop in at this one, you will not be disappointed.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

We stayed at Stower Grange for one night for our son and daughters graduation. I would have given the full 5 stars except for a couple of minor niggles. Firstly, we arrived after 9:00 p.m and on entering found no reception base to say we had arrived, finding instead the kitchen where they were busy finishing off serving dinner. The gentleman offered to take our bags up,but I would much have preferred if he had offered us a pot of tea as we were somewhat weary. The second niggle being we were not sure what to do for breakfast as went into dining area and no staff member was present,so again my husband went to the kitchen to ask for coffee. The gentleman was apologetic as busy with another breakfast and everything went smoothly thereon.......
Moreover, the room we were given was excellent,we had the top floor and having asked for a quiet room this was exactly what we were given. Also, the breakfast was delicious and would recommend this establishment if visiting Norwich......

Arrived early evening loads of parking spaces. Lady was ready with my key so no delay or hassle checking in. My large room had a four poster bed which was quite novel but very comfortable. Large clean bathroom.
I went out for the evening but the lady gave me the code to get back in after 23.00 and had left my room key out for me where said it would be.
The hotel was quiet as it was a Monday night. I had a great night sleep.
Next morning I had a lovely freshly cooked breakfast in large breakfast hall.
My room was called Basil which I thought was very funny.
