“Worth seeing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Great to see the little penguins in their natural environment. Make sure you allow time to visit the visiting centre.

“Second Time and still love it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Penguin is just sooooooooo cute!! :) 1st time we bought the more expensive ticket, and later we found out you got to get closer to Penguin on the walkway anyway. So this time, we just bought the cheaper one, and left the stationed seat a bit earlier and found a spot on the walkway.

“Spectacular- nature at her best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Wonderful to see the penguins drift in off the breakers in groups of 20 or more, waddle in and past the boardwalks ( upgrade required but essential in my opinion).

Wear warm clothes as it is chilly on the boardwalks.

Food at venue very mediocre.

Shop great for souvenirs.

“Spend your money and go for the ultimate experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Just back home and I have to share the knowledge of our visit to a cold beach in late October.

Remember that you money goes to help preserve the site and protect this for generations to come. We paid the A$70 pp and had the attention of a ranger for the evening, who, through the crowds of visitors, kept us informed and together as a special group by the use of a short range radio set that the premier visitors were issued with. So, along with front row seats on the beach we were treated to an absolutely unique and close experience.

Others have written most eloquently of their feelings, and I can only echo that this has been a most memorable evening, which I consider to be well worth the expense.

I'd add that we didn't leave the reserve until around 10:00pm, so do have accommodation arranged locally, you can't realistically make it back to the Melbourne area the same evening.

“Cuddly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

Even though you know you cannot, you just want to pick them up and cuddle them. They are so cute. Amazing to watch them come back from their days fishing to go to sleep.
