“Excellent hotel and great stuff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

Excellent hotel With an excellent staff. the service given was politely and courteously.
The rooms are clean and there is a wonderful sea view. everything was just perfect. I want to thank the stuff (especially Sofia, Nadia, Kiri and Simon).
I would like to point out that In my opinion the safety box and the Internet should be for free. :)

Definitely a great hotel.

Room Tip: Better to book the room in the sea side and not the road side.

Awful location 7 km out of town in a scruffy area, Very small stony beach, Tatty beach beds and brollys Most staff have attitude. If not on "All inclusive" very expensive food and drinks (Two small weak beers in plastic cups one tuna salad. (Literally half tin of tuna on 6 lettuce leaves) 16 euro). , Girlfriends sunglasses stolen from table no help from reception seemed a normal event. Nightly entertainment woeful. You would not believe the "Blues Brothers" had the front to even turn up. Should be a 3 star hotel at best.
Much better hotels for a lot less than this place in Larnaka.

Stayed here 15/05/14 for a week. We were a party of 12, consisting of 8 adults ages 30 to 60 and 3 kids aged 2,3,and 4. Arrived at 2am and were met with a cold meat meal with hot/cold drinks or bar service which was a nice touch.
Rooms.
We all had garden rooms with partial sea view on the top floor overlooking the pool. Cleaned daily with towel change and very comfortable without much noise late at night.Good balcolnies, fridge in room and tea/coffee making stuff. Showers good and air con quiet. Safe in room for 2 euros a day.
Restaurant.
Good food with plenty of choice except at breakfast which was always the same and not very hot. Could do with an ommlette bar or something.Dress code in the evening, ie long trousers for men, no shorts, 3 quarters or vests or flip flops was strictly enforced while we were there, so it could get a bit warm inside and you couldnt eat outside.Other little niggle was you could only get beer or wine with your meal, shorts had to be got from the bar by yourself and brought in.
On the subject of drinks, 2 silly rules, all inc. guests could not get drinks from waiter, had to go to bar yourself, which can be a pain when getting 12 drinks and none of the bars would give you a tray, so we bought one for a euro, which seemed to embarrass the bar staff but so be it.
Facilities.
Pool was great and realy safe for the kids, lifeguard strict and quick to react to any problems. The beach is a bit shingly but once in, the sea it is very shallow for a long way out and lovely and warm.No lifeguard on beach so bee advised. Sunbeds are comfortable and plentifull.
Animation team were a bit cheesy but tried hard without being in your face. The shows at night were ok but usual thing, singers, magician with parrots, kids loved them though. Not a lot outside the hotel but the buses are every 15 mins and only 1.5 euros to Larnaca town or prom.
Taxi office opposite hotel is very helpfull and you can haggle with him, beware of the kebab house in the same square, we all went over there one night for a meal only to find out that the play area for the kids is a strip club come escort bar, needless to say the men werent allowed to stay for a beer!
Overall we all agreed that we would come back again and apparently their christmas gala dinner is a good short break.

Room Tip: Garden bungalow rooms are very nice, Large parties get a tray for your drinks, WiFi is exspensive, b...

Having previously stayed at the Princess Beach last Christmas we decided to give May a go and we are glad we did. It was a fantastic stay and yet again the staff were so attentive and helpful. There is a new chef (nikos) who has previously worked at Michelin star restaurants and you can tell because him and his team produced some lovely food and when we spoke to him, he had some great ideas and some lovely ideas for the future which is great news.
The entertainment again was excellent and if you didn't want to be a part of it you could sit outside on the terrace.
We had a garden room which was extremely clean and again was cleaned on a daily basis.
The pool area is just lovely and I personally saw the pool being cleaned every morning.
The gardens were also kept immaculate.
Every Friday there is a managers cocktail evening which is a great idea to personally meet the management team and chat to them with any suggestions or comments you may have.
Alexandros (the operations manager) was always present during the mornings, daytime and evenings which is also reassuring should you have any problems or just to have a chat with.
We are now looking forward to booking this Christmas again at the Princess Beach and hopefully will have many more happy holidays to come there.

Room Tip: A garden room is the best to have.

I travel all over the word for both Business and Pleasure. Always in 4/5 Star Hotels.
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
I am unsure how anyone can give this hotel positive reviews as other customers who spoke to us whilst we were there also had not many positive words to say. In other-word, said they would never return.
I will list as many points as I can. It may sound like a rant, but I want to get as many points in so that you get a good idea of what you will expect.

Not a family hotel.
No Suitable food for most children. You may think they might serve fish-fingers, chips, pizza etc for the children, you would be wrong. None of these.
When you ask for something basic like fish fingers to be made especially. They cannot seem to cook these correctly as they came every time on different days like rubber. Inedible!
Even though they claim to have won awards for their food.

The high chairs were not only filth dirty, they were all ripped and broken. Either missing all safety straps completely or the straps were so broken you could not secure your child into them. This applied to all high chairs not just ones we used!
Your child would either slide out of the bottom of the high chair or could fall out if the child tried to move. Health and Safety Nightmare.

When we arrived at the hotel the travel cot that we had arranged was broken / ripped and filthy. It was so broken a 12 month old could probably pull himself and up out as the sides had collapsed. This takes me onto the cleanliness of the bedroom. Even after cleaning, it was 4 out of 10 at best.

Water pressure in the shower was sporadic and could be as little as a trickle some nights when getting ready for dinner.

Were were not informed of snack times. Didn't even know they were even available till the 3rd day when another guest told us. You wont want to bother with the snacks anyhow. Not only are they limited, there was no one else in the restaurant at the time and it took nearly 30 min for 2 cheese toasties.
We also found out that ice-cream was served twice a day for 1hr periods. Why not all afternoon??
The other weird thing about the all inclusive menu, lots of things were not included or were only available for 1hr periods. Could not get a Coffee Frappe included this cost a couple of euro? Weird as other more expensive alcohol was included.

Lunch and evening meals were awful. Most of the time the food which should have been hot was almost stone cold. They served more pasta than an italian restaurant. Not a problem if you have a varied menu, but when you serve almost the same thing daily, not great. Especially when served cold.

They server burgers 1 afternoon. They were completely raw with stringy pink meat in the middle. I waited for a fresh batch. These were uncooked also. I alerted the restaurant manager who said nothing, just took them. I had to collar him 10 minutes later to find out if they were bringing new ones. All they needed to do was to say sorry sir I will take them to the kitchen and have them make fresh ones. Nothing from them.

If you want any level of customer service, goto McDonalds. When we went there. McDonalds looked like 4 star. Spotless, proper high chairs, which were sanitised and had cling-film covered tray for next use. Hotel! None of this.

Evening entertainment looked like a bad case of Britain's got talent. You will want to go out!

Beach is very stoney, you are better going to a beach 10 minute drive. Golden Sand lots of chairs and umbrellas.

Had a run in with a cleaner, cannot tell you how rude, you just wouldn't believe the story.

Internet sporadic at best whilst i stayed. Know what i'm talking about as run a computer company. So if you need to stay and work. Don't rely on it.

Around the pool area was not particularly clean. Every day, I had to wipe the sun chair mattress as they always had bird poo on them.

The really annoying thing was that they seemed to really spruce the hotel and clean it when they had an event on such as a wedding. What! Normal paying guests are not good enough to clean for!

You should stay at any of the other 4 star hotels along the same road and have a better experience. If you spend a little more, stay at the Palm beach. It is a 5 star and when we stayed there, it was fantastic.

Stay at this hotel at you peril. If you ignore the above you only have yourself to blame, so don't complain about your stay.

We spoke to management a few times and even had a final meeting with them when we checked out. Not only did they not care about our concerns, they had no apology or answers. Most of my points they didn't even give a response to.

Room Tip: Don't Stay, pay more and go to the Palm Beach or try one of the other 4 star hotels nearby

We recommend this hotel for quiet holiday. We have had a holiday at this hotel several times in autumn, in November. We are very pleased with the service. Receptionist are always ready to help. The food at the restaurant is excellent and varies. The rooms are well cleaned. The beach near the hotel is cleaned every day. We hope to come and stay at the hotel in Novermber, as usual. (Gridasova and company)

Room Tip: Sea side rooms and Garden rooms are very good,
