“Did you talk to Paris?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

I stayed at Klashiana Hotel Apartments for over a month. I was extended every courtesy.

If I had a problem then Paris, the manger, sorted it out, or his assistant. I found him and the other staff to be very friendly and accommodating. I was given a very good rate for staying longer. I had to leave earlier than expected Paris did not quibble about refunding me the difference. The rooms are dated, but they are clean. The lady that cleans the rooms was very honest. She returned to me 20 euros that must have been blown off under the bed.

Go to Cyprus to relax at one of the family run hotels, and if they are not to your champagne taste on your beer budget, don't complain in these reviews, if you haven’t tried to sort it out first. If you didn't say anything to the hotel manager then keep your mouth shut. Better yet, don't travel.

Cyprus tourism has declined due to their political situation. The long stretch of beach road that the Klashiana is on, could be filled with topless joints, prostitutes, but the Cypriots are good honest people and they have not allowed this to happen.

Room Tip: See your room before you pay.

Klashiana Hotel Apartments is not a hotel, has no hotel amenities, and does not even have any hotel staff.

Rather, it is a very run-down apartment building that used to cater to seasonal tourists, who no have since moved on to nicer digs.

In reality, this apartment building is being maintained on life support until it is torn down so a Submarine sandwich shop can be built in its place.

All of that said, I had five great days there in an adequate one-room apartment that had a balcony with a wonderful Mediterranean view---looking across a busy street---where there is a nice beach and small restaurant.
My apartment, like the rest of the building, was broken down---but adequate. It was clean, had a workable kitchen, had no broken windows or small animals running around.

Is this a place to stay if you need hotel amenities? No.
Is this a place to stay if you are a single woman who deserves a safe place with some security? No.
Is this a place to stay if you need lights on in the hallways so you can see your way to your room at night? No.
Is this a place to stay if you do not enjoy hauling your luggage up three flights of stairs? No.
Is this a place to stay if you need taxi drivers to recognize the name of your hotel? No.

Is this a place to stay if you want to spend very little money and have a terrific view of the sea? Maybe.

DO NOT STAY THERE. I went to Klashiana "Hotel" with my boyfriend because it was a national holiday and we needed a break. As soon as we got there we were welcomed by.. noone!! We waited there until a man decided to show up. We paid for the room and he escorted us to it. We noticed that every single room was wide open (including ours). As soon as we got in the room, I knew that we weren't going to stay there(even though we already paid for it). It smelled bad, it was dirty, there was used toilet paper in the toilet bin etc. We left with only one wish.. That noone else will be fooled to stay there. I wouldn't stay there even if they paid me.
