“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

Not exactly a four star hotel but it is ok considering the price . From my opinion it is easy to reach barcelona. Take a bus B7/A4 from across the street an go to the central station and then take the R4 train to Placa Catalunya. Mostly frequented by 1 night groups so may get quite noisy but it is ok. The city is safe and also the surroundings are safe.

I really enjoyed our brief stay here, set in some lovely grounds the hotel was I think part made for the olympics.
Spacious rooms, friendly staff and decent food.
Quite a trip into Barcelona at night but if you ask nicely they will arrange a sightseeing trip.
Would stay again {2006}

Room Tip: Ideal for people like us who are touring and have their own transport.

We stayed for two nights and had no objections. The room was large and clean, good breakfast, all staff kind and the receptionists really very helpful. I would recommend it to everyone whom proximity to Barcelona is not an imperative. We came with car(no problem with parking), but tried the bus(line A4) also. With the bus stop in front of the hotel, it is even more practical.

Stayed in this hotel as visiting Barcelona for three days for my wife's birthday. Rooms were large - which is good.
Free cot for our two year old . . . . shame is was broken and slightly dangerous. No shutters to keep the sun out which was a problem for sleeping and for the heat of the room.
Nice bathroom . ..
Large bed . . . although had to ask for extras pillows as the two they provided may well not have been there.
The worst thing . . . at 5pm in the afternoon, went to the lobby to try and get some tea. We were all thirsty and no facilities in the room . . .
NO tea possible. In fact, nothing was possible!
Receptionist told us that this wasn't the UK . . . . . ? not quite sure what was meant by that. Perhaps she meant that 'we don't serve tea' . . . or 'you cannot get tea here in the afternoon because it's not the UK'. Whatever was meant, it was rude and not to our liking.
Had it not been for our oversized car, we would have checked out there and then and found someplace else to go . . .
In summary, this is a hotel for locals - despite its International brand.

Room Tip: Make sure you are not facing the sun . . . . no shutters to keep them out

The price was very reasonable for five nights, however it was far away from the city centre. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and one right down the road, so that was convenient if you are taking the bus, which my friend and I did to get to the train station. There was no free breakfast, which was a bummer, but the hotel offered a computer that had high speed Internet and we got a couple of free maps of Barcelona. I would stay here again and would recommend it for those who don't mind travelling outside the city to get back to their hotel.

Horrible hotel!!!

Not even a three star hotel. Smells cigarets in nonsmoking rooms, damaged rooms, far away from Barcelona, you hear everything what is happening in neighbor rooms, awful beds ;(

Me and my husband enjoyed our stay at this hotel however the hotel was far away from the centre of Barcelona. We mostly ask a taxi because we were four so it took 6 euro per person. But there is a bus stop in front of the hotel which we didn't use. There is a small bar opposite of the reception which you can taste Spanish or international beers or benefit a limited food menu. The reception and Lobby Bar staff were friendly, the housekeeping done their work well which we gave tips. The inernet was free and the breakfast was various. The pastries was delicious.
