“Great Low Cost Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

This is the best Premier Inn that I have stayed at and I have stayed at a fair few. Everything was just right staff were really helpful everything was spotless. What more could you ask for for £50 per night?

Room Tip: I stayed on 1st floor where is was very quite.

We stayed here last night as we were attending a wedding locally and just needed a bed for the night.

I had absolutely no expectations, I just hoped it would be clean and that the bed would be vaguely comfortable.

We arrived an hour before our checkin time as we needed to get to the wedding and the lady on reception was really helpful, immediately did some juggling around and got us a room that was ready.

The room itself was spotless and very spacious. The bed was really comfortable (I am very fussy with beds), the linen was soft, the pillows were just right although there were alternative pillows provided should you prefer a softer pillow. The shower was good, towels were a little worn but were absolutely fine and clean.

We had a quick bite to eat at the attached pub, where breakfast was also served. It is fairly standard pub fare but was tasty, served quickly friendly staff and very reasonably priced. I ate breakfast there the following morning and just had the continental option. Plenty of choice even though I arrived only a few minutes before it finished. I had a bowl of hot porridge which I thought would be stodgy as it as nearing the end of service, but it was perfectly cooked and a generous bowl. I didn;t have the cooked breakfast but heard the waitress offering to make boiled eggs, poached eggs or omelets to other guests.

I have stayed in hotels 3 or 4 times the price of this and been disappointed. Obviously it is not 5 star luxury but it was a very comfortable, clean, quiet, reasonable place to bed down for a night or two. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Very poor small and damp room, beds too close together and the shower room was covered in mould. The shower wasn't remotely powerful and there was a very bad smell.
The restraunt food was ok but the bar looks like it could do with a good clean.
I wouldn't stay here again but most premier inns are good quality this isn't.

Good and friendly service at checkin. Room was immaculately clean. Bed comfortable. Full bath. Food in restaurant was very acceptable.
paid 70 pounds for night. Apparently, Premier Inns are now charging as per airlines- price rises as number of available rooms diminishes. Book early if you can.

Stayed in this hotel long before it was acquired by the Premier Group and what an improvement now. Very nice rooms, comfortable bed and good decor. The food in the adjacent restaurant was also good with many choices.
All staff were very friendly and I will be back there again without any hesitation.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter.

A really nice break in our journey down to Norfolk. We had a lovely welcome from the lady on the desk and the room was lovely. Both room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and plenty of tea and coffee available. The Brewer's Fayre adjoining the PI served lovely evening meals. However in the morning there was unfortunately a power cut and breakfast was affected by this, as there was no tea, coffee, hot food etc but they didn't charge for what they managed to serve us. The staff were most helpful at that time. The receptionist in the hotel even went through to the restaurant to get me a bottle of water when the drinks machine wasn't working due to the power cut. Lovely staff!!

The beauty of staying in a premier inn is you know exactly what you are going to get, the rooms are always clean, comfy and they all look the same the whole country over. i feel compelled to write a review for this one, because the staff were amazing, they went the extra mile and made our stay a pleasure. firstly i got a call the day before asking if we needed directions, when we arrived they had set up a travel cot for my baby, with lovely soft blankets etc, then when my baby was sick all over me and the bedding they provided us with fresh bedding and offered to wash the clothes that baby was sick on, the receptionist who was extremely friendly and helpful told us where to go to get medicine etc, without us even asking. they really couldnt do enough to help. :):) highly recomended!!!!!!!!
