“Lemon Drizzle by the A27”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

Lovely garden with unique wood carvings, the remnants of victims of the Dutch Elm scourge of only a couple of years ago. the road noise of the A27 is a little intrusive, but the welcome and service at The Wishing Well cannot be faulted. My particular favourite, as Barry and Teresa know, is the Lemon Drizzle!!

“Excellent find for a light lunch or tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Everything in the other reviews is true, friendly reception, lovely aspect in a cottage garden, beautiful home baked cakes and high quality food items. Pricey?? if judged against a chain perhaps, but if judged against quality on basis of value then it is fair.

“Nice atmosphere, but pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Nicely appointed and good service. Only caution is the price! Asked for a ham roll (4.50), and i guess I was naive not asking, but a VERY small roll, a little ham and a few crisps - I was expecting a little too much maybe?

Thank you for taking the time to review our tearooms. We are glad you found the Tearoom and Gardens nicely appointed and the service good. We put a lot of time and effort into giving our customers a pleasurable experience.

All our baked goods are handmade, on site, using the best quality ingredients. Our rolls are made using fresh yeast, meaning that the cooked size of the rolls will vary, although the uncooked weight remains the same. The ham is hand cooked by our local butcher and we use Kettle crisps. Unfortunately the price we charge has to reflect the prices we are charged for using premium ingredients and the fact that we provide a full waitress / waiter service.

We are sorry if you felt we did not give you value for money.

“A perfect English tea garden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

Mt husband and I took a party of 13 French people to the Wishing Well to experience a typical English tea, and we were not disappointed. The owner and staff were both friendly and efficient, the ambiance was lovely, the scones were superb and the cakes so delicious some members of the group had two! The wide choice of teas was really appreciated, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I have no reservation in thoroughly recommending this tea garden.

“Excellent Tearoom!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

The Wishing well tea rooms was where i held my last birthday and it was absoloutely great! It is a lovely venue and has lovely gardens you can rome around in, it was even better as it was a gorgeous summery day!

Inside the tea rooms it is so beautiful and really cute. The tables were set out very nicely with flowers, little pots and a lovely table cloth. The food at the tea rooms was delicious, we had the afternoon tea which included homemade scones, sandwiches and cakes which were extremely yummy and beautifully layed out. Even with the afternoon tea it was great for younger people as they didnt just serve tea they served soft drinks too. The staff at the Wishing Well also made it very homely for you and really made you enjoy it.

I would really reccommend this tea rooms for people of any age and it caters to any of your needs.
