“Charming . . .”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

We stayed 4 nights at this charming restored 17th century inn. It was easy to find driving from Siena on the SS223 and it is a beautiful location. Although the temperatures were still warm, 25+, the swimming pool was closed on September 15th. The breakfast buffet was very good and you can order eggs cooked to order if you wish. The restaurant food for dinner was also very good and reasonably priced. We used this as a base to drive around Tuscany and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only down side was that the internet signal was not available in the rooms and poor in the reception area.

Hotel is hidden off a main road and has a beautiful campus area. Service went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable as the on site restaurant staff stayed open past closing time of 10pm to serve us upon a late arrival. Dinner was fantastic as was the complimentary breakfast, this place is a great value.

We stayed here four nights in june 2012 and got more than we excpected, for a really good price. We stayed at the 1st floor in the main building, a really nice room with a beautifull view of the hills, river and the old bridge. We even had a great view from the toilet! The room was spacious, nice and clean and had a comfortable massage shower. The bed was excellent, I haven't sleept that good in years! The breakfast was good and typical Italian, with bred, cacke, biscuits, fruit, jam and eggs. Good coffee, and friendly staff. The breakfast was served out on the patio. We also had lunch one day at the hotell, and got excellent service and really good food. The location is good for tips to the win districts, such as Chianti, Montepulciano and Montalcino, as well as Siena, Cortona or the coastline. The pool was okey and all in all is this a really beautifull estate. We enjoyed our stay very much and will defietly be back next time we're in Tuscany

Although this hotel is close to a main road you really don't notice. It is a beautiful hotel both inside and out. The swimming pool is lovely. The restaurant has lovely local dishes; and both the food and the wine is reasonably priced. If you don't fancy eatting in the restaurant every night, there are other restaurants within a ten minute drive, but I reccommmend taking a picnic on an evening down to the stream. All the staff are friendly and are always willing to help. The hotel is situated close to Montelcino, Montepulciano, Florence, Pisa and Siena, so makes a good base.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and had a large suite on the top floor. The hotel is traditional Tuscan style with beams in the roof and old furniture. The hotel is conveniently located just off the main road and there is ample car parking space.

The hotel has it's own restaurant where the staff are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel

Room Tip: Room 302 was a large suite

We spent 10 days in Locanda del Ponte this summer. It is located by the road SS 223 what makes it easy to find when you leave the motorway. Locanda is a perfect place to sytay while sightseeing Tuscany-Siena is appr.20 km away, Florence, Montalciono, San Galgano, Montepulciano-places you really must see when in Tuscany.
The Hotel is really well-maintained. Stylish rooms (air-conditioned) and surroundings. The swimming pool is claen an makes a nice place to have some rest after sightseeing.
The Staff speaks English and is very helpful.
Italian breakfast-sweets, croissants, fruit, coffee, chocolate. But if you are used to "English breakfast" (sausages, scrambled eggs) you might be a little bit disappointed.
There are no shops nearby, so remember to do some shopping in the city.
I reccomend this hotel.

We spent two days at Loconda del Ponte. Drove up into the hills off the highway to the village of Monticiano only to be told that the hotel was across the highway from where we turned off . The hotel is located in a very quiet peaceful setting with great pool area and grounds. Restaurant next to hotel had a very good dinner menu and wine list. The breakfast was very good, offering eggs any style. Internet access was very weak. Our room was clean and comfortable, bathroom likewise.
