“Standard pub.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

Been here afew times in 2009-2011 but not recently. Fancied a pub lunch and thought welcome back here. As you walk in, while the decor is modern, the smell of stale I think is quite strong which I really didnt like. They have ago of choice, I ordered chicken piri piri skewers with chips & coleslaw and being honest, it was lovely actually, came on a sizzling plate with onions & peppers. I wish they were homemade chips though. Hubby had a double BBQ burger which he enjoyed with chips, the bread was quite dry looking and the plate could have done with some salad or something to make for better appearance. Son had 2 sausages which were very plastic in appearance & taste, this again came with oven chips. Staff came to check if all was OK during the meal which was good. £19.75 for two meals & a kiddies meal inc 2 x drinks. Overall, very similar to a weatherspoons but really nothing special at all, probably won't be going back & will venture more to the traditional independent pub lunches.
