“Nice little caving exp”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2012

I wouldnt call it a caving "caving" experience but yeah for beginners its a very good experience to begin with. had a very nice time. GOod place but they got me once when the lights inside the cave went off suddenly! it was damn scary esp when you are alone :)

“One of the nature's miracles”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2012

Small, but, beautiful cave to see natural salt formations. One needs to bend down while passing through the cave. At times, there can be ankle deep water in the cave.

“Perfect soft adventure for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2012

Just tough enough to get a sense of adventure but not extreme, so can be done with family. We had visited with 2 small children 6 and 3 years and could see the cave. Some passages are very narrow and have low height but can be squeezed through. Rock formations inside the cave are impressive but not great. More fun is traversing the entire length of the cave.
One advice: Be patient. The risk of injury is not from the cave itself but from jostling visitors in a hurry to finish the visit.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2012

not for aged ,obese, very small children. it is dark inside, have to bend yourself to go through ,not for medical ailments. should carry torch lights.no guides to let you through if u fall sick on the way out.

“A GOOD THRILL FOR CHILDREN”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2011

The Mawsmai cave is a little further from Cheerapunjee, while driving down from Shillong.
It was a good thrill for the children aged 10 yrs and 08 yrs. You must walk right through the cave to experience the full effect.
