This year we took two grown up twenty something kids for a holiday treat in June and they loved The Platomare as much as we do. We returned in Sept/Oct and our daughter pleaded to be included again.
We all went to the beach or sightseeing during the day, hired a car and ate out most nights. The Platomare is not for those who like to stay in an expensive and modern hotel, not great either for those who want a smart pool area to sit around at all day.
If you like basic but spacious accommodation, no loud music round the bar or pool and cheap prices, then it might just suit you.
We didn't want to spend a lot on the accommodation as eating out in Cyprus isn't cheap when Mum and Dad are paying, but we all had a really great time and found it perfectly suited to our needs.
The Boardwalk took us into Protaras for entertaining evenings or into Pernera for quieter nights, it's a lovely walk on the seafront either way.
There is lots of sightseeing to do during the day and after many years of Cyprus holidays we always find something new.
Many thanks to Sean the Olympic rep for keeping our daughter entertained when she needed some younger laughs. Also many thanks to the lovely Catherine for changing our rooms to the top floor after the first few days. We loved the view of the sea and it made the holiday.
Thank you to all the staff at The Platomare, can't wait until next year!
