Stayed at the Antigoni for two weeks Aug / Sept 2008. The hotel is described as 3 star but in my opinion this is not the case.
The whole complex is in need of lots of refurbishment.
The only positive thing i can say about this hotel is the pool is very good but this is let down by the poor quality of the pool area, sun loungers and parasols. The pool bar turns out to have been closed for the whole of the season and is slowly turning into a eyesore in need of immediate attention. Unfortunately the pool may be nice but several people i spoke to including my wife and myself suffered with ear infections.
House keeping was also a let down during the two week stay on two ocassions the beds were left unmade , the bath was not cleaned daily, floors may have been swept but areas around and under chairs and tables were missed. Towels were replaced every day but sadly they were very old and grey.
I am not the most adventurous person when it comes to food but again i am unable to say anything really good about the meals at the Antigoni. My wife described meal times as O.K.
Finally and probably the worst part of my stay was noise from the nearby bars, loud music was boomimg out until 2.00 - 2.30 am every night making a good nights sleep impossible until it stopped. Before you say it i am not a miserable old sod i enjoy a good time but this was too much.
I have looked through travel brochures and checked the internet and found no warning about loud music playing into the early morning at this location.
On a positive note the resort, the beach and the weather was fantastic.
