We have just come back from a weeks stay with my adult children and my parents. We had booked 3 sea view rooms and were upgraded to superior sea view rooms on arrival which was nice. However we all had rooms in the extended newer part of the hotel and although they were sea view there was no view of the pool and they all overlooked a side road which was very noisy throughout the night with lorries loading and unloading and bins being emptied. We did not complain to the hotel so we didn't give them an opportunity to put that right. The rooms were spacious with good facilities but my husband and I were disappointed with them. I was there for my 50th birthday and the hotel made a cake which was presented to me by the waiters singing happy birthday. There was a complimentary bottle of champagne in my room on my birthday which was a nice touch. The food was beautiful and so much of it. Bubbly with breakfast was a real treat. We were on half board and had a fabulous meal every night. The restaurant staff are lovely especially head waiter George and also Marius. Thank you to both of them. George really went out of his way to make sure we had a perfect evening on my birthday. The drinks in the hotel are not that expensive and we used the bar for drinks and cocktails most evenings. The location of the hotel right on the beach is fabulous and the sun bed allocation is such a good idea. All the staff in this hotel go out of their way to make sure you have a nice time and nothing is too much trouble. The manager has a welcome drink for all guests once a week too. We all had a lovely relaxing week at the Capo Bay Hotel and we would recommend it and we would return again.
