We were some of the first guests to stay here as the hotel had only opened the day before to find we had been moved from the apartments we had paid for and put in the hotel. We we greeted by a grumpy gentleman on reception who we avoided throughout the holiday as he was so unhelpful. We arrived at 10.00pm to find no food had been arranged and we had children who were hungry. Next morning looking at room and going on the balcony was amazed to fond the one side was not fixed and this was on the top floor. They repaired it with a bracket. I nearly went flying out as well when my foot caught in the net curtain as the hem was hanging down and it was filthy. The bed was very comfortable but the room was not clean. You have to pay to use the fridge and the tv was so old with the buttons missing we used the spoon to change channels. The shower curtain kept falling down into the bath and the only thing cleaned was the mirror. The food was very good with no bad tummies apart from one morning the bread for toast was mouldy. One of the waitresses wore a long hairpiece which she messed with and you could see hair hanging not attached when she took our drinks order and she was hopeless at mixing cocktails at the bar. The entertainment was the worst ever and 2 families moved to the Marlita beech hotel nearby. The swimming pool could not be used on 2 occasions as the filters had backed up sending black stuff into the water and there was poo in there but pool was not closed for cleaning. The reception area has dirty old looking furniture and banisters are not fixed. There are broken tiles to the edges around the inside bar where you can put your foot, loose tiles in the swimming pool as well. Nothing was working and we were told continually by Peter that the entertainment would get better. The team harass you all day long while you are on the sun beds and even interrupt your conversations so are very rude to the point of it being laughable. Any medal you win from the sports you have to hand back the next day and they are plastic 10 a penny ones. There is no presentation or certificates given which children love. As families came out we were told they went there year on year but entertainment previously was run by the Thomas Cook Team and was excellent last year but they would not be going again. To top it all and as shown in previous reviews your time ends at 12 noon. We went back to our room at 11.15am to find our key didn't work. Maids were shouting at us 'late..late..finished'. I was told at reception the computer automatically does this and they have no control over it!! You then have your wristband cut off as hotel policy all Inclusive finishes at 12 noon. We were issued with a lunch voucher, our pick up was 6pm so any further drinks and snacks have to be paid for. Overall the hotel is old, plaster falling off walls especially down to the indoor swimming pool and toilets. The water fountains were never switched on for the children to play in. Thomas Cook did their best to put right some of people's issues but as so many people complained they started to complete forms which you get a a reply with what has been dealt with. Would I ever go there again...NO, the clientele is made up of 70% Russians and 30% English. There is a man we called the bell boy who always wears a blue jacket and takes cases to the rooms, at first we thought he was very nice but no..he is very rude. He sometimes works on the booking in document in the restaurant and we heard him call the supervisor over and said quite loud 'I am having trouble with these Russians' we were gob smacked as this was in front of people queuing to go in....how rude!! Think that sums it up....enjoy your holiday...!
