Tourist information recommended Derrin Guest House and we were not dissapointed, the room was clean and very comfortable with internet and all requesites covered. Great to get off the ferry & find a great place with lovely friendly people., Ivy was charming and very friendly and cooked a fabulous breakfast. Cheers from Steve & Julie Beggs. Lakes Entrance. Very warm welcome and helpfull hosts. We had booked 2 nights and hence was given a £7.50 voucher to spend on an evening meal at several nominated places. Our room was very small which was just about OK for 2 nights. We were touring by car that contained our expensive golf clubs so requested off street parking at booking which was confirmed. The drive way is very narrow and extremely diffiucult to access and had only room for 2 cars. I managed to get one but later arrivals had to park on the street. Breakfast good and property very clean. Reasonable priced.

Very friendly, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and fantastic base to tour the Antrim Coast.

We wanted to be near the ferry port at Larne and chose this B&B on the strength of excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. Derrin House more than lived up to our expectations.

Ivy was a warm, welcoming and knowledgable hostess! She recommended an excellent restaurant with local music, and found church for us on Easter Sunday! We were sorry we couldn't stay longer!

Being our first visit to Northern Ireland, we were warmly greeted by Ivy and siebe and on being shown to our room we saw straight away the very high standards in cleanliness and quality that they have achieved in the 5 years they have been here. The whole house was ajoy to explore, especially the impressive entrance hall withoriginal tiles and staircase. The choice and quality of the food at breakfast was very good and for the 3 nights we stayed the local restaurants suggested by them were of a high standard and very welcoming. We wish Ivy and Siebe a good year and hope to return in the not to distant future

I recently took my mum home to N. Ireland to visit the family and while everything that could go wrong with the travelling arrangements did go wrong (plane was diverted, lost our luggage, missed our connecting flight, etc, albeit all due to a severe snowstorm), the one thing that definitely went right was the choice of accommodation for our 8 night stay. Derrin Guest House is an extremely clean and charming B&B with two of the friendliest owners around. Ivy and Siebe did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible and they definitely succeeded. With spotless rooms, excellent housekeeping, free WiFi, a delicious breakfast every morning (they even tried their hands at making a traditional Malaysian breakfast of nasi lemak which was a success!), great location and ample roadside parking, you couldn't ask for more. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone planning to visit Larne, which is itself a beautiful place with a lot of interesting spots to visit. We're planning a trip back again soon and I'm definitely going to stay at this charming B&B again.
