Description: Website given is part of Explore the Bruce please do not publish as 'their site' as it is not, this is merely for verification that it exists. This establishment has been open for three months. Lion's Head does have a fair choice of B&B's but not a great selection of fabulous food. Please add to listing I would like to add a review. Home Made EVERYTHING. Phone for them is 519-793-3982 . Trip advisor visitors would appreciate. Thanks, Carolyn

“Retro fun dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Stopped in for a late lunch today and felt immediately comfortable in this fun and colourful place filled with retro style fifties furniture. The menu offers a great variety of sandwiches, egg dishes, soups and salads and desserts . You can see right into the kitchen and everything is spotlessly clean. Service was fast and courteous and our sandwiches were delicious.

“$30 mistake”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Terrible service, slow...pissed off people. Bloody expensive, soup like dishwater, and the coffee: WORSE than the vending machines at work. Yes they need help.

“Help Wanted!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

If the party of 8 that left with grim faces just as we entered wasnt enough the "Help Wanted" sign on the door should have warned us. After 4-5 minutes of standing around and being ignored, we decided to sit down at one of the empty tables. The menu looked ok but after a further 7-8 minutes without even a nod or smile from the waitress (who looked like a deer caught in the headlights) we decided to get up and leave. Add our party of 7 to the party of 8 that just left and thats probably lost $150 to $250 worth of business in just 10 minutes. "Help Wanted" indeed. Its not as if the place was overly busy. Maybe 20 customers and a large proportion on their laptops just drinking coffee.
Place looked clean and 50's diner's look a nice touch. Cant comment on food or beverages!!

“Enjoyed the food, not the service.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We stopped in Lions Head for lunch on a recent trip to The Bruce. Thinking a cafe was our speed, we came in at what seemed to be a bad time for service. Several tables still had not been cleaned up after lunch and this was at 2:00pm. We took a seat and waited for service, but none came. Someone - possibly the owner - was discussing place mats with a sales rep. Totally ignored us, and did nothing to send anyone over. The other woman behind the counter was too busy with ice cream customers to take note either. Instead of waiting, we decided to consider a take-away order at the counter. She was very pleasant (despite being totally flustered handling counter service) so we elected to eat outside (it was also too hot inside) and ordered a pulled pork and a poutine respectively for a light lunch. Both were very good, and once we were sitting down outside, the service improved significantly.

Unfortunately, when we wanted to order an iced coffee and fair trade coffee after lunch, there was no coffee ready and the ice cube machine was not working properly. We took our leave then. We may be back for the food, certainly not the service.

“High quality and Great prices for food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

This little cafe is amazing. The food was remarkable and the service as well. My fiancé and I found ourselves always going back during our stay in Lions head. For breakfast, lunch and dinner. You should definitely stop by. The prices are cheap it will blow your mind! Everything tastes great and like its home made.
