“Best Breakfast on the Bruce”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

This is what they advertise and we concur. My husband and I stayed here 4 nights and loved the breakfasts. A table loaded with fresh breads (several homemade), jams and jellies (also homemade), meats, cheeses, veges (some from their garden), juice, coffee, tea pickled herring, etc. and that's just the normal items....then there is yogurt, fresh fruit, museli (also homemade), some cereals, etc. Then...you can order waffles or pancakes, eggs any which way and if you are really special...perhaps eggs benedict. Dave and Barbara are a hoot and we really enjoyed our conversations with both of them. They are full of knowledge on hiking, restaurants, etc. as well as other events happening in the area. We stayed in the king bedroom which is on the main floor, which has an ensuite bathroom with a shower. Very quiet spot as they are almost at the end of a road. Now you will hear sounds from upstairs if there are other guests on the second floor but it did not bother us as quiets down by the time we were ready for sleep. The owners do have dogs (which are really wonderful). We felt very at home here and were sad to leave.

Room Tip: We liked the king room and did not see the other rooms so can't speak for them.

Stayed for 1 night August long weekend as a family of 4. The house is spotless, everything is perfectly clean and tidy. Barbara and Dave were very helpful to get oriented and recommending attractions, restaurants, trails. Breakfast was delish with an excellent variety of things you cannot get everywhere: home made bread, home made jam, home made muesli, local deli...Puppies were a great entertainment for children. Thank you Barb for letting them play!

We returned to Taylor-Made again this summer and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Barb and Dave are very friendly while still providing you with privacy. The accommodations are spacious and our party enjoyed playing cards on the deck and chatting in the lower sitting room. Breakfasts at Taylor-Made are the highlight of the stay. Barb's homemade muesli is the best and Dave cooks the perfect boiled egg. There are so many items on the breakfast table that it is hard to know where to start: homemade breads, and jams, meats, cheeses... We had such a wonderful time this summer, we are hoping to return in the winter with the family to do some snow shoeing.

We stayed for two nights at Taylor-Made for the Labour day weekend. We were left speechless by the service offered by Barbara and Dave. Amazing breakfast, very kind people and extremely clean B&B which I would recommend to all my friends. Their locations is central close to all restaurants, trails and beach.
Will come again but this time with an army of friends :-)

Spent 2nd night of my 12 day, 3,522 mile solo motorcycle trip in Canada with Dave and Barbara at 'Taylor-Made B&B' Lions Head, ON-and glad I did! Accommodations were comfortable, clean, and was welcomed warmly by David and Barbara. As veteran motorcycle travelers, they gave me, a first timer-excellent advice, and spent time with me poring over maps and pointing out cool places to check out.
And yes, if you're looking for the best breakfast on 'The Bruce'-in fact, all of Canada-check it out-it's all home made. Add to this a beautiful setting with many attractions within walking distance-you can't go wrong spending a day or two here.
Thanks again Dave and Barbara, will stay in touch, and visit again soon!

We stayed with Barbara and David for 2 nights in mid-August. They welcomed us warmly and provided clean, comfortable accommodation. Their breakfasts included many home made items and provided a great start to each day of our visit. They took messages for us and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. For those unfamiliar with the area, they have a variety of maps, etc. which are helpful in identifying points of interest.

I stayed 2 nights at Taylor-Made B&B last weekend and was blown away by Barbara and Dave's hospitality. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with most of the selections being home-made by Barbara. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location was great (5 minutes from the public beach and the Bruce Trail) and I felt at home right away. I'm looking forward to staying there again when I return to Lion's Head in September.
