“Uninspiring but huge”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Large Hotel on the edge of town. Rooms are rather small and bathroom is a wet room but it is more than adequate.
The gardens surrounding the hotel are huge, there is a bar tucked away in one corner for non-muslims and the restaurant can seat over a hundred. The food in the restaurant is pretty average and expensive for Bangladesh. The breakfast was pretty standard.

There is a gift shop in the hotel but they sell nothing of interest to tourists - no t-shirts or postcards - they really should increase their offering. There is a business centre for internet.

I don't suppose there is much choice in accomodation in Bogra, so this is passable.

Big flash looking place but rather tired on the inside and not particularly comfortable. May well have been rather grand when originally opened. Lots of staff in the restaurant but meals seemed to take an age to get served and the food was pretty average..

Stay: One night (Business trip)

Room: Standard

Pros: OK value for money considering other hotels in this area.
They also have a provision for accommodating your driver.

Cons: The room allotted to me was unclean to begin with
They had allotted me a room whilst being fully aware that there was no TV (it was sent for repairs). They addressed this issue only after repeated calls to the reception (3 hours after checkin)
There is virtually no space to plug in any electronic item (laptop etc)
They have the lamest possible extension cords/multiplugs (wires were exposed)
The geyser didn't work (I was ruing the fact that I had not checked it before while checkin)
The breakfast was just pathetic(The institution should be stripped of the star rating, just for this reason)

Conclusion: The so called "4 star" rating is a complete farce. They don't deserve any star!

Room Tip: Don't choose the standard room at any cost!

Naz garden is the option in Bogra. It is the only 3 Star hotel with Bar for its customers but management is poor. Proper maintenance would have made it a desired choice. There are some options in the city centers hence its the best among all. Travelers are requested to check the interior condition of the room before it selects as in my last visit I have found that some rooms have very bad smell. Then I asked the reception to change my room and they did gladly. Ruhi fish fry is a recommended food in the restaurant and Kulfi recommended as dessert.

Room Tip: Go for second floor as rooms in that floor is good.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

I've lived in North Bengal for almost a year; and having stayed at several hotels I can say that Naz Garden is easily the best in the whole northern region. If you plan to go anywhere in North Bengal, it might be a good idea to book a room here (there aren't many good hotels in any of the other towns). The best thing about the place is the hotel environment - there's a huge garden in front of the hotel and a small pond behind it. The rooms are pretty basic, but are neat and clean. In winter, mosquitoes may pose a problem as the room service will only spray aerosol insecticide and not provide any other form of insect repellent. There is a swimming pool - but it's not too great. The restaurant has good ambiance compared to other restaurants in the region; however, the food is overpriced. The bar, on the other hand, is pretty reasonable in terms of price but the environment isn't good. You're better off buying a bottle or ordering beers from the restaurant to be delivered to your room. All in all, given the alternatives I recommend staying the Naz if you plan to travel anywhere in North Bengal.

mainly for official purpose k need to stay here. I have been staying here last 3 years. I'm happy with there service. Food is good. Clean environment. People who loves green, surely will like the environment if this hotel.

Besides some nice flower and trees there is a beautiful lake.

Rooms are nice however the 2nd block is not that much. In my opinion that 2nd block is below the standard.

Rom service is okay. Rooms are spacous.
There is wifi but u need to pay for it.

Swimming pool.is nice.

Overall a very nice place to stay in nirthern region of bangladesh.

I'd agree with other reviewers that the hotel rooms are little over priced, but what other options do you have in Bogra? The a/c standard rooms, which cost around BDT 1800 (USD 22), offer basic amenities including a tv, mini refrigerator, bathroom with hot and cold water. The rooms and the washrooms are mostly neat and clean and you'll also get complimentary breakfast. The hotel premises is clean and features a gym and a swimming pool, both of which can be used for free. You'll also get low priced accommodation for your driver, if you have one. Considering that there are no other good hotels in the surrounding areas, it is worth staying.
