“Great hotel with wonderful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Great hotel. Very comfortable and extremely clean. The staff are lovely and hospitable, and will go out of their way to do anything for you. Manager told us about a deal which saved us 200 dollars which he needn't have. Very honest people. Great choice at breakfast. Free Wi-fi is much appreciated. Agree with other reviews; it is very European so it lacks that authentic Palestinian vibe. But overall, had a great experience.

This hotel is really great. From the moment I entered, I felt very comfortable, and of course I was impressed by the architecture. The staff is friendly and competent. The rooms are spacious and clean. Maybe the working chair needs an upgrade, especially if you spend a lot of time working in your room, the free Wifi is fast and reliable. The "Newz Bar" is equally nice to wind down or even to work a little. I really enjoyed the Gym as well and love to go back when the pool area is open again in summer. I would have loved to spend more time at the breakfast buffet and test all the local specialties, but did not have the time to do so. The cab drivers working with the hotel are super competent.

I stayed here for the duration of a work conference that was being held at the hotel. The modern rooms provided a comfortable stay, and the conference facilities--while not extensive--were very good. I especially liked the lounge areas on the ground floor. The European-style hotel is a bit of a surprise to find in the middle of Ramallah; it's down the street from a few upscale eateries, walking distance from downtown where you can do some local shopping. Like many others have mentioned, the hotel staff are outstanding and will go out of their way to accommodate your requests.

My favorite thing about my stay was the breakfast buffet--the sheer number of offerings made me want to stay in and eat breakfast all day. And the hummus. Oh my.

Tip: check the "Offers" tab on their website for discount deals, as they almost always have some offer going on (I stayed 4 nights for the price of 3 and also got 10% off for booking early)

The Mövenpick is a good, clean and well-managed hotel right near the heart of vibrant Ramallah. The standard is international - and the Swiss-style management can be appreciated, although it lacks the authentcity of several other real Palestinian hotels. Wonderfully friendly staff, clean rooms and a good choice of eating places. It is where most international business people - mostly donor representatives - stay over.

hotel facilities at a high level, staff in all categories were good .. Was an enjoyable visit ended quickly, unfortunately...

I caught the bus from the Birthplace of Jesus to this new Hotel. The staff were amazing, looked after me to a standard that I could not even imagine when booking.

They have this special place and they have worked hard to earn that place. What I thought was amazing was the absolute respect for a foriegn person who did not completly understand their bearinds. What a great team. Good luck to all you guys. I hope that the amazing service is allowed to continue.

Much Love,

Mr T

Room Tip: Just get with it....they are REALLY nice people. Just trying as we are all to make a living.

During our Israel trip, we wanted to explore the West Bank as well. Instead of doing a short detour from Jerusalem, we opted for a stay in vibrant Ramallah at the Mövenpick hotel.

Getting there was easy - the hotel organized a pick up from our hotel in Tel Aviv. We had a great guide, who showed us around Jerusalem and its religious sites on the way. We continued to the Palestinian territories and arrived at the Mövenpick after a short drive from Jerusalem.

The newly built hotel is located in the diplomatic district and offers spacious rooms with modern facilities. Staying every week at 5-star hotels throughout Europe on business, I can say that this hotel easily lives up to the standards of a hotel in this category.

We tried the Palestinian and Italian hotel restaurants. Both offer excellent food - we strongly recommend the shrimp furkhada - and have attentive staff and a cosy atmosphere.

As in other places in the West Bank, the mainly local staff was super friendly. They made us feel very welcome from the beginning and spent a lot of time to help us plan our day trips. In summary, this is an excellent hotel for business or leisure travelers alike. We will certainly come back!
