“Not for the British!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2014

Having just arrived from one week at the Naias hotel this Hotel was a bit of a let down. The room was clean and the staff friendly but on our first evening there were no places to sit for dinner, so although tired we had to wait for a table to become available.
The shades on the reading lights next to the bed were both broken and the stool next to the dressing table actually collapsed when pulled out!!
The water for showers was occasionally non existent and the internet only available from the lobby.
Half way through the week the coffee machine at breakfast broke down and no alternative was given. I even asked for my cold coffee could be warmed up in the microwave but the answer came back "no".
The food offered was average and wasn't that varied.
We only met one other person from the UK as most were from Russia or Serbia.
Overall: Rooms clean, location OK, staff friendly but I would'n stay again!

Room Tip: Choose a top floor room and don't be late for dinner

The food is great, the rooms are nice, renovated and spacious, there is some problem with the water and the cleanness could be somewhat improved but the hotel is quiet with very good location close to everything.

Room Tip: ask for superior room on high flours.

First do not take google map location of hotel in GPS because is bad. Correct coordination's are N: 39.998104 E: 23.578836, otherwise you have to search on lot of small streets and very few persons can guide you.
The hotel Polis 3* is not far to the beach (3-5 min) and until center of Hannioti is 10 min by walk. The hotel is small with 3 levels for rooms, the last where we stay was renovated and the rooms looks Ok (new furniture, AC, LCD, minibar, balcony with 2 chairs) but the bathroom is very small and the worst thing is they don't have water in the afternoon between 17-20 hour. Every body from that period when we stay there was complain to personal but they apologize and explain that the Hannioti water pipe is not enough for top season. I believe a big reservoir for water in the hotel yard maybe the solution. So, when you came back from the beach with salt on your body you can't make a shower in your bathroom, until 8 pm or to go down where is kind of bathroom for swimming pool with 2 showers where can wash yourself with small pressure of water.
The food was very good with lot of tasty vegetables and 2-3 type of meat, to breakfast there is also much food, juice and coffee or tea, evening meal is also variously with ice-cream at desert and water. They have also a bar with alcohol and beer, a snooker, a swimming pool with clean and warm water specially for kids. The personal was kindly, most speak English, one (Paul) is Romanian and he is very nice person, also Anitra is a nice girl, the room was cleaning every day, the towels were changes at 2 days and the sheets 3 days.
Hannioti is very nice village with lot of people in the evening, many "bazar" streets, restaurants (taverna), fast-foods, and at the end of the beach is a club Molos for young with very nice new music and lot of joy especial in weekend.
The beach is Ok with sand and few small stones at the entrance of water. The deep of water is 2-2,5 m not far from the beach (15-20 m) the seawater is very warm and clear. Not far from Hannioti (12 km) in soth part are few lovely beaches (chrousou area) with very nice sand on the beach and in the water. There I see lot of Greeks are coming with their families.

Arrived at hotel - room was shabby, smelled of damp with an old wardrobe in the corner of the room (bedding clean) . Went to the receptionist who was very apologetic but explained the hotel was full - 9 o'clock next morning my husband and I was moved to a good room.

We were the only English people in the hotel. Not a problem to us but thought some would find this uncomfortable.

Pool small (only 10 sunbeds and nowhere to put any others, however, we wanted to sit round pool on a complete chill out - this was no problem as all but a few other guests, went to the beach during the day.

Friendly staff. Very clean hotel. Food good but repetitive - again no problem to us, always found something good and tasty - Greek style - what we enjoy. Most evenings sat around the pool area at a table for two, very pleasant.

Could find nowhere that listed our entitlement on the All Inclusive option before we went but thought it would be same as we have experienced before - WRONG - all meals, no snacks (but never went hungry)drinks included; local wine, lager, ouzo and soft drinks. Any other drink was 5 euros (could work out expensive for anyone who likes a spirit) I only drink white wine (drinkable) and my husband lager and ouzo, so again no problem for us.

There is absolutely no entertainment of an evening )that again just what we were after), but, another English couple with two children (who joined us day three) found it expensive to go looking for evening enjoyment (ended up shopping every evening).

Summary - clean hotel, good food, lovely pool but very small, friendly staff. Check out at noon beware you will need money from there on if you are waiting for a transfer to airport, no food or drink is provided.

Transfer vehicles AMAZING. We had a shared shuttle, wow, mini limo took us to the airport with another couple - they were a fab, young couple - made a great end to our holiday. Can't complain - just what we wanted and for the money - GREAT VALUE.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms very shabby, higher floors better. Our room was on 3rd floor. Not exactly as sho...

The hotel is near the center, easy tu find him when arriving...Its a small hotel, with small rooms, but enough for vacation. At the beginning the receptionist gave us a very bad room, near the kitchen, very noisy and smelling like u have the kitchen in your room. After that they changed us the room because we did want to stay there..and without problems they change it...staff is really very friendly and helpful.. food is good...tasty...if you book HB at the dinner you will have as a drink just water and for breakfast you habe juce, coffee, tee and water!!this is not a normal HB condition, because every where you go, and book half bord you have beer juce coffe at brakfast and at dinner! for havin a shower you must wait for water pression...an hot water:))a lot, or more then expecting.. For avoid problems we changed our HF in all inclusive...but without paing...our travel agency operator changed this, because them was also not known that drinks are not included..so , as conclusion...if you travel with a serios travel agency, like we do, you will not have problems...everywhere you are going....so hotel was ok, food and staff more than ok...haniotis is nice, a lot of young people, nice beach bars.....

Room Tip: dont accept romms near the kitchen...!! Higher floors have better rooms
