“Clear sea, long beach, breathtaking view to Olympus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2011

We are family with teenagers and we have spent enjoyable 11 days in Possidy Holidays.

The best thing about this Hotel is beach, very clean and long not too much crowded .
Sea is relay enjoyable.
It could happens to you that small fishes bytes you in the shallow water , but do not worry , no serious damage :-))
Nature is relay beautiful in this part of Kassandra , there is a lot of pine forests and air smells good.

Hotel is nice and managed well. Our accommodation was big and comfortable with big terrace and sea view. Beach is very close to all hotel rooms. From reception area there is an elevator that brings you to nice garden with bungalows and there you could enjoy view and nice smell of pine forest.

Possidi village is a few kilometers away , and it is small with a few restorations at the beach. You could find small shop there. Area around hotel is quiet and only entertainment you could find in the evening is Pool bar with live music a few times a week.

To find entertainment for teenagers, like shops and crowded places, we should drive about 30 km to another side of Kassandra , but it is also very nice trip and you could find beautiful landscapes along this road. And some authentic things like donkey at the road.

Anyway , we do like this hotel and hope to get back.

I stayed at the possidi holidays hotel back in may to celebrate my birthday with my other half. The staff were extremely polite and very helpful when my travel agent messed up the holiday booking they settled me into the hotel, providing me with food despite extreme late arrival and complication with booking. The staff were very polite and often asked how the stay was going and how we were. They knew what we liked to order and were very helpful. The hotel was fantastic, gorgeous views and fantastic food. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to use it again in the future myself as my stay was perfect!

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms provide gorgeous views!

I stay one week and i think i have stayed 1 day because i will not get bored in that beautiful place.
If somebody will say that the hotel is not good i will ask him why and what are that bad parts because i haven't find any of them !

We chose this hotel to stay in as we were looking for a chill out relaxing holiday and are both beach lovers. The hotel is beautiful and although some furnishings may be a little dated they don't lack comfort or cleanliness. We stayed in the main hotel with a sea view room, the bungalows on the hill behind are accessed via lift, we found staying in the main building very convinient and there was very little noise in the evenings.

The Breakfast buffet was typically european with a selection of cold meats, cheese, yougurt, fruit, croissants, breads, cooked breakfast items and even cakes if you wanted them. The evening offering changed nightly with a selection of pasta, rice, salads, meat dishes and either a carvery point or a theme offering ie, italian or seafood made fresh on demand. We enjoyed lunch daily in the restaurant near the pool and as throughout the hotel the staff were friendly, hard working and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and ensure we enjoyed our stay.

We loved the beach and the chrystal clear water, the sunbeds and parasols were great and we definitely appreaciated the shade mid afternoon. As we were there to chill out we did not hire a car, if you are looking to see the area which is beautiful, perhaps renting a car would be a consideration. We booked a taxi to transfer from the airport to the hotel and back as this suited us.

The guests were a mixure of italian, french, german and eastern european, we did not come across another english speaking couple or family during our stay until the day we were leaving, this did not spoil out holiday as the staff made every effort to communicate in english. We also noticed how child friendly and attentive the staff were ensuring any little guests also had a smile on their faces.

My only dissapointment and is is a small point was that i would have liked to see some more traditional greek food on offer.

Room Tip: We stayed in a sea view room in the main hotel.

Our room had a musty odor
The shower and tap water smelled like rotten eggs or sulphur
The front desk provided a baby pack and play that was extremely convenient
Bathing our 1 year old was difficult because our did not have a bath tub option we had to adapt working mommy and daddy juggling our son in the shower

The breakfast and dinner was nice just bring your baby food and be prepared to pay for any drinks during dinner time

Beach has beautiful clear blue water
Just bring swimming shoes because the rocks and sand might Hirt your feet if your not used to a lot of small rocks in the sand

We had paid for two rooms the other room did not smell musty

Our dinners seemed to always taste the same so we had our own car and drove to Kalithea for gyros at DK fast food if your ok with eating pork their food was good for the price

They say it is 5 stars hotel!!! It is maybe 3.

Start from their web site. The hotel looks fabulous, but the picture doesn't show hidden part of the hotel (the biggest part) high up in the hill. The most of the rooms are up there. Forget going up on foot. The only way up is using the elevator (one and very slow).

This could be forgiven, because the view is very nice, but when we came to our first room - the smell from the toilet was awful and bathtub was peeling so you could cut your legs.

We moved to another room, but toilet was leaking and toilet seat was not fixed to the floor. It was disgusting. I have to admit, the stuff fixed our room, but we have lost 2 days of our summer vacation.

The worst nightmare are the beds. Mattresses are to soft, but full of wires. There is no way to sleep there.

All the rooms in the hill are full of ants and bugs.

There is no parking. It is empty muddy field without lights.

Food is very poor. Breakfast is always the same. Dinner is also tricky, because you never know what you eat.

No fruits except apples and oranges.

Good side is the evening sunset view from the restaurant and from the beach.

And the beach is not sandy, but pebbles!!!

Internet is available only at the lobby and in the pool area, but it doesn't work very often.

Room Tip: Complain.

We had booked a family room with sea view and were given a room on the ground floor in the main building; the room was overlooking the gardens and had an excellent sea view (with some very nice sunsets).
The room was spacious and clean, sheets and towels were changed every two days. Staff was friendly and accomodating. In the garden there was a rather small swimming pool for kids and a bigger one for adults with an all-day bar. The beach was just 50yds away, but you had to cross a dirt road that most of the time was rather quiet (but it could be dangerous as cars were parked on the side). The hotel run a beach bar that offered refreshments that could be charged to the room (so no cash was required). The sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach were not free (EUR 7) and this is something that I believe the hotel's management should review as it was the main complaint of most non-greek visitors.
I am pleased to say that we did not experience any of the problems other reviewers reported in relation to food/restaurant, possibly because there was a change in the hotel's Chef. The hotel's restaurant offered a buffet with a variety of meals (some of which were greek) and which could appeal to most western european visitors. The quality of the food was of a high standard, the theme of the menu was changing on a daily basis and the restaurant had a good variety of wines.
Overall, it was a rather pleasant and relaxing holiday, in a place that we would like to revisit in the near future
