“Very basic Menu del dia”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

The menu del dia seems a great deal at 10 euros, but it was not great. Being a sea food restaurant we expected the paella we ordered to be a sea food paella, but it was meat and not very good meat either. There are better menu del dia deals to be had in Fornells with better food.

“Expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Went there twice, first time given 3 menu's to chose from during a day time visit, on a night time visit given more expensive menu only. Had 2 starter's and the mixed paella for 2 people, big starter of onion, tomatoes and tin tuna, paella looked impressive with large prawns and about 6 mussels plus a bit greasy rice. Overall big portions but better of going during daytime to get more menu's and more choice.

“Cold food and expensive!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

I am afraid I have to beg to differ with some of the reviews on this one.

On arrival we were shown to a table and didn't even receive a smile. We chose a very nice prawns wrapped in sole with a creamy sauce. This was very tasty but was stone cold and not cheap!!. I have Learned on my travels that if you turn up at a restaurant and you don't even receive a smile, leave straight away as you don't owe them anything and it saves you ruining one of your precious holiday meals out. Otherwise we just order a drink and see what service we get. If its good we will order a meal.

I have been to menorca a few times before about 6 years ago, but this time I didnt find the majority of spanish waiting staff very friendly at all. I find them more friendly in fuerteventura.

“The Value of their Menu del Dia is incredible.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

No wonder the place is busy. Their Menu is now 10 euros but incredible value & the waiters work really hard. This is well worth a visit but do go at lunchtime & do ask for the menu del dia.

“Too much of a good thing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

We stopped for lunch at El Pescador on a wet day in September. We decided to try the local speciality, lobster and went over the top by having the lobster soup followed by lobster thermidor.

Both were very tasty, but probably too much of a good thing, in hindsight and we both think we should have gone for one lobster dish and something else for a better balance. The wine was good and the location very pleasant despite the rain.
