1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

just arrived and it is the worst hotel in 10 years, but to be honest the cheapest;
OK : Nice view from the bedrooms
Ok : for the swimming pool
Bedrooms with working air conditioned
Awfull bathroom (first time I saw such a little one) but there is hot water
Breakfast = some eggs, bad bred, bad pieces of basic cake, some coffe and milk
Evening meal water cooked vegetables, awfull meat (only one choice), salad is ok

Room Tip: You must ask see view, but most rooms are with see view

I stayed at this hotel in July for 1 week half board with my fiance. Must say I was totally impressed with everything this gem of a hotel had to offer.

Our flight didnt arrive in Corfu until 2am, and when we got to the hotel the guy behind reception (sorry didnt get a name) opened the bar to get us water as we stupidly forgot to get any, he was so very pleasant and nothing seemed like too much trouble. All the staff were lovely and spoke great english which is nice.

We stayed in room 308 and OH MY GOD the view, I can honestly say in some 5 star hotels we have stayed in the views were nowhere near as lovely, and if they were you woulda payed through the roof for them. Very impressed :-D

The food was nice, nothing too fancy but it was all good. Yes I can see why people would say it was bland, however it is a small family run hotel, therefore it was more than adequate. Plus there were gorgeous greek salads for dinner yum.

We are going to travel to all of the greek islands, however when we come back to Corfu (and we will) we will DEFINATELY stay at the Oasis hotel again.

Room Tip: The 3rd and 4th floor have AMAZING views WOW!!

We agree with all the other reviews about this hotel as far as the location, lovely beach and friendly staff are concerned, however, when it comes to the buffet evening meal it seems that the hotel is cutting back as far as quality and quantity. There was only one choice of a main meal and everything seemed so bland - unlike the little taverna just down the road. The buffet started at 14 Euros for those coming from outside the hotel, but was quickly dropped to 12 Euros when no one was coming in to try it.
Food that was meant to be hot was not even kept warm and the there was no chiller for anything cold.....so it quickly became warm or melted - creme caramel for instance!
Any left over veg (tinned) seemed to end up in the scrambled egg the next day for breakfast (if there were eggs. Any boiled eggs were obviously cooked the day before and the bread was stale and uninteresting. If you ordered a meal from the limited bar menu, the bread came fresh.....why not at breakfast.
The salad was always nice and fresh so it was possible to eat reasonably healthily, but the only fruit we saw was melon of tinned peaches - there was a supermarket across the road where you could buy all sorts of fresh fruit.
We just got the impression that the hotel was cutting back....probably because of the economic situation there.....our advice is, just go B&B and eat elsewhere for your other meals if you want interesting, tasty Greek food.
The mattresses in out room were the hardest I have ever experienced.....and I was in the military for over 30 years!!!

Room Tip: Most rooms have a sea view.....our advice is go for the top floor.

Our very first trip to Greece was an absolute success in large part to Hotel Oasis. The multilingual staff were always friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to see that our needs were met. The hotel had direct beach access with a lovely view. The beach was clean and the water was perfect with an outdoor bar for drinks and food. The location was central to nearly everything and car hire was available. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. This hotel was also excellent for families and we had an amazing time together here. When I next visit Corfu (and I will), Hotel Oasis is a must!

Loved, loved , loved this hotel from the moment my partner and I arrived. Clean, well-furnished rooms with the most amazinbg view from our balcony. The pool area was lovely as was the hotel's small but adequate beach. The buffet-style food was very good. All in all, our one week at the Oasis was one of the most enjoyable holidays we have ever had. Many thanks to all the staff for their wonderful, cheerful service. We will be booking for next year, for sure.

To be honest, I was a little apprehension about visiting Greece but as soon as our plane landed on this gem of an island, Corfu, I realised that, once again, the British press had got it wrong. Greece is a wonderful place to holiday. I have never felt safer in any holiday resort I have been to - and I have been to a few.
Our hotel, the Oasis, proved a pleasant surprise. It is always a bit of a risk booking on line but what a lovely place. Well-run, pleasant rooms with all the amenties {a/c. fridge, t,v etc}, not to mention the most spectacular view from our balcony. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful, from Katy the head receptionist to manager, Mr. Petros to the lovely girls who served us, always with a smile, in the beautiful terrace restaurent. The food was adequate for what we paid and many typical Greek and local dishes were provided. The pool is lovely and we especially loved the entertainment laid on by the management.
What we loved most about this hotel and its location {apart from the stunning views} was its close proximity to Corfu town. The island capital is indeed a gem nestling in an already beautiful Ionian jewel. From Perama it is also so easy to visit the many spectacular beaches. Car hire and excursions were arranged for us by the reception staff.
All in all, our week was most enjoyable. I only wish I had booked two weeks. My wife and I will definately be returning.

Room Tip: top floor for view.

We stayed here at the end of June and we wanted a relaxing week away. This is exactly what we got. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly polite and helpful. The beach was clean and had a beach bar where you could buy drinks and lunch. A perfect Greek salad! We stayed on the second floor and the view was amazing.
This hotel is not to be missed. It is very quiet and the entertainment(Greek Dancers) were excellent. We even enjoyed the singer playing his organ. Great hotel.
