“Great relaxing place to holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Aeolos Beach Resort

Would we recommend yes we had a great relaxing holiday.
Google earth shows the site type in Aeolos Beach Resort, As does the hotel web site. www.aeolosbeach.gr

Hotel staff
Fabulous efficient very helpful great.

Mary and Victoria man the congeries desk both fabulous

Hotel Site
The site is extremely nicely landscaped on a side of a hill with most is not all rooms looking over the Ionian Sea. There is a mini bus that takes you in our case to our room at the top of the hill.

Reception
For friendly simple to sign in. Remember to buy your safe key. Also pay a €10 deposit for each beach towel you wish. Pick up towel at pool or beach bar at change then as often as you want so been in the pool sea change towel and get fresh ones wonderful. At end holiday get your deposit back.

Accommodation
We had room 2412 that is we believe the highest up the hill. Wonderful balcony views.
Nice equipped rooms. If you are English speaking TV has BBC World news.
Shower gel tissues etc when left empty was replaced. However the soap was not replaced.

Beach
Nice beach loads of sun beds quieter than pool. Walk into sea use end of beach slightly less rocks. Look at notice board for beach activities, darts, penance, table tennis cocktails demos etc.
Very nice shaded sitting area to have drinks lunch.

Pool
Very nice. But as usual loads of beds with towels and NO occupants.
Great pool bar super views.

Restaurants
Extremely friendly and efficient staff.
Good selection of choice of what to eat.
Remember to keep knife and fork if you are having seconds etc.
My wife needed a gluten free diet that is no wheat. On first day spoke to Mary, Victoria and the chef Georgiou and all sorted.
We took with us gluten free rolls for breakfast a must.

Bus Trips
Pre buy bus trips tickets €1.60 each way for Corfu Town, number 6 get on at bottom road time a We found times to be approximate. We're you get of is were you get back my on.
Turn left follow street to old town you must visit the fort. Loads of free wife.

Weather
We were there 11 21 May hot one morning overcast otherise a lot of sitting around relaxing.

Feedback
The hotel pre season did not answer our email enquiring about room upgrade and gluten free food,
At lunch maybe put out cold meat cheese to go with a salad, (it is out at breakfast time.)

Travel Agent
We booked with BA Holidays, we picked the number of nights, to reflect flight days and booked a 10 night holiday. We also booked a private transfer we BA.
Ignore what BA say about phoning Lord Travel, on arrival exit arrivals and go to Lord Travel desk and all happens.
Note coaches drop you off at bottom road.

My Daughter and I stayed here for a special weekend away. The hotel grounds are beautiful! Very hilly, but others have said that. We were in the main building in a sea view room. I paid extra for the sea view and I would say it was a partial view at best. Yes, you could see the sea but you had to look through palm trees and over a building. I was very disappointed. I asked a couple of times to be moved to the second floor but was told no. Over all the front desk staff was not very responsive. A couple of times I stood there while they talked to each other or they left me to talk with other employees that walked up. The concierge was super helpful and we were very grateful. The hills were tough but we would get an ice cream from the closest bar and it would distract us enough that we made it. Overall we were happy with the resort just not the front desk staff.

Just returned from a great week at Aeolos Beach Resort. Great staff, special mention to Chris on reception who was very helpful , food was very good with plenty of choice in the restaurant. A la carte restaurant was lovely and food was delicious at no extra cost. Also given a voucher for free 30 minute massage at the Spa. Only a couple of little things that weren't as good, gym was ill-equipt and far too small with no air con and we could hear most noises from the people above us in appartment. This did not spoil our holiday at all. Free Wifi would be nice.

Firstly: why only 4 stars? We arrived on May 3rd for a couple of weeks & the first week was simply idyllic - & I'd have given it 5 stars. However in the 2nd week the French "animation" team arrived & they really destroyed the atmosphere round the pool. They were noisy & played music at top volume. And, for example, why should the pool be closed off for 6 people to play water polo when here were 100+ others sitting there having to put up with the noise? Shame, as the Greek girls who did stretching, yoga etc were very good. Also one the plane, loads of French were there, the smoking round the pool was excessive, with no no-smoking areas designated.
Our room was great. 106 on the main block. Very well appointed & it had patently been very recently refurbished as everything was pristine. Well cleaned, & towels and shampoo etc replenished daily.
We had wondered about the food, as buffets aren't really our thing, but they were the best we've had. Plenty of interesting choices and always hot, as well as a variety of things being cooked on the grill. One night we ate at the a la carte restaurant at the beach, which was also good.
Drinks were good and a good strength too, both at the main bar & the pool bar.
The staff at the reception were also helpful .
The weather really helped too.
We had a great time.
So the advice: great for an early or latish trip. Personally I would avoid July & August with even more 'animation', unless of course that's what you want!
We would happily return.

Room Tip: It's on a hill sloping down to the sea, so choose a central room if you have walking difficultie...

Just got back from 7 days at the Aeolos Beach Hotel , as per other reviews great Hotel and Staff were all very friendly. We had a Superior room with a fantastic sea view which was large clean and very comfortable.
Great location if you want to tone up your legs as it involves some steep climbs !
Now for the down side - The Food was tepid every night , we both found it only just warm. I had Pork and Chicken which was being carved as I waited and both not hot !
I had read this in a previous review and I can confirm that was still the case.
Pizza at the Poolside Bar was hot if you timed it right.
And also if you want to have use of the Safe in the Bedroom this was 20 Euros , non refundable.
Slight moan regarding the Food but if I'm not honest in my review then not worth writing it.

We stayed here for 12 days in May 2015. The staff are very friendly and very helpful when we needed anything.

We opted for a bungalow with a sea view and although we couldn't really see the sea from our balcony because of the trees we were still happy. The room itself was very clean and the cleaning staff did a terrific job everyday. The bathroom was big enough and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The only thing we couldn't get a hang of was the fan!

The food in the main restaurant is lovely. I was a bit put off at first of the buffet style thinking that the food would be sitting there for ages but the trays are emptied and replaced quite frequently. The theme nights are great. We loved the Italian night the best. We would have liked more themed nights but on the non-themed nights the food was still lovely. The desserts were lovely, especially the pavlova. The breakfast there was my favourite. Freshly made pancakes and eggs and loads of different options to choose from.

We ate maybe 2 or 3 times in the main restaurant for lunch. We preferred the beach bar with the pizza and pasta more. The pizza and pasta was freshly made in front of you and is really delicious.

Although the food in the Al a carte was nice we wouldn't have wanted a second night there. The food in the main restaurant was nicer.

We booked an Eros Dinner on the pier and the experience was fantastic. We met our chef and waiter and they couldn't have been nicer. It was a very romantic and fun night and the food was simply delicious. We asked the waiter about the recipe of one of the sauces and the chef came down and explained it to us - I just think that was a really lovely touch and he seemed very pleased that we liked it so much.

We spent most days at the beach. It's a bit of a stoney beach but that didn't bother us too much. There was also a really nice guy selling strawberries there most days. We rented a pedalo for the reasonable price of 10e which was a lot of fun as well. I would recommend bringing goggles and a snorkle as there are lots of fish in the sea.

We visited the spa and got the couples or 'Skopelos' massage and received a voucher for 15mins extra so the massage was 65min in total. It was heaven! The staff in the spa are very professional and do amazing work. If we had known how good the massages were we would have done it earlier in the trip so we could fit in a second one. My only issue with the spa is that they don't do mani/pedi's and I was hoping to get one.

If you want to go to the waterpark (Aqualand) the hotel will organize a private bus to bring you to and from the park. It's 20e per person which includes your waterpark ticket.

We would recommend this place as we really couldn't find any major fault in it whatsoever!
