“Hard to find, but fantastic place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

Very difficult to find at least with Google Maps navigator. But once we called to hotel, the manager walked few blocks to pick us up. And since that, the service was superb. And the hotel very very nice.
My wife really loved the mattresses, but I found them a bit too hard. I still slept well. And the rooms were stylish, modern and clean.

We really loved this hidden jem of a hotel! It began with Daniele coming to our car on the street when we were having a very difficult time finding the hotel. He came to car, drove us to the hotel and parked our car in the hotel garage! Don't judge a book by it's cover and don't judge a hotel by what you see from the street. Walking through the front door was like entering the vestibule of Heaven. And yes, you guessed it, entering our suite was like entering Heaven. Three floors beginning the bathroom, then the spacious bedroom, and last but not least, the living room with an outdoor patio. Everything was immaculate. Breakfast was excellent. The service was Outstanding, from Daniele to the woman who prepared breakfast to the folks that kept the hotel clean, everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. We felt at home from the minute Daniele found us to the minute we check out. Our only regret was that we were only booked two nights. Treat yourself and visit the Palazzo Ducale A.S.A.P.!

Room Tip: Choose a superior suite. We found it more than worth the small extra cost.

great hotel! only a handfull of large, comfy rooms. Friendly and helpfull staff. Makes you feel special.. The one issue the hotel has is the extremely narrow garage entrance, though it's overcome by Daniele (hotel manager) driving hability and will to help. Book it!

I can understand how this hotel is ranked #1. I have never been there but somethings that are not material are most important. I reserved two rooms in September and two days ago i was diagnosed with cancer. We are hanging in there with family and will get thru this ordeal. I made the manager aware that we have to cancel and his response to me was so comforting . Daniele Sciortino and the Palazzo Ducale should be the first palce considered when staying in the Palermo area . Very Very compassionate people ! Lorenzo,theoldnose1

This was our last stop in Sicily and where we wanted to indulge ourselves in a bit of luxury.

located close to the cathedral in Monreale, the hotel is also very well positioned for nearby restaurants and bars.

Our suite was very well appointed with spacious lounge, bedroom and bathroom, all perfectly fitted out and very elegant.

The hotel staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. Driving to the hotel in the very narrow streets of Monreale, I was please to have the hotel staff offer to park my car for me. On arrival we were offered coffee and had a map marked out for us of all the notable locations in the vicinity. I have not often found hotel staff so attentive.

Breakfast was excellent with a full range of continental style food, savouries and fruits and served with very good coffee

Free WiFi is provided, and it is high speed.

At night, there was not a sound - we had not slept so well since out first night in Milo a week earlier.

I am very happy to recommend this hotel.

We stayed one night at this impeccable hotel suite in Monreale, located 2 minutes walking distance to the duomo. We had trouble finding the place by car, so my husband got out and walked to ask for help. Everyone in the town was helpful, but when he found the hotel, Daniele, the proprietor, offered to come and get our car and drove us into the parking garage! The hotel is clean and new, with a large shower unseen to me in Italy, warm large fluffy towels, a sitting room, and free wifi in the bedroom, although it doesn't work all the time. Breakfast is served on the top floor where you can enjoy fresh coffee made to order and homemade sweets inside or outside. All the staff are friendly, and you are treated to free filtered water.

Marvellous suite with a nice terrace, good breakfast on a shady terrace, well cared for by nice people, situated in a wonderful town - just holiday!
Tripadvisor asks for at least 200 characters - why should I write more on this great location?
