Nice Relais and Chateau property. The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the 18th century Meix des Glycines which was great. Yous saw the same people again and again. Everyone knew who you were so it had a very family type of atmosphere. It was cool to have drinks and dinner without ever having to sign a check. They just kept track of it for you. There's a 1 Michelin star restaurant and the Bistro is great also.

We stayed at this Relais and Chateaux hostellerie during the last leg of our honeymoon in France. It is nestled in the sweetest tiny village just off the main drag going through Beaune. The buildings have been fully renovated on the inside but still hold that old world charm from the outside. We stayed in one of their suites that overlooked the beautiful grounds and had a tiny little juliet style balcony as well. With Relais and Chateaux, you know that you can expect top notch service and the staff did not disappoint. We were greeted warmly and accommodated for dinner and our suite was wonderfully appointed with a walk in closet, comfortable sitting area and a congratulations note from the staff. We were very pleased with the overall experience and ambiance of the Chateau and would absolutely consider it again or recommend it to friends visiting the area

This is a wonderful property. That being said, what will always stand out to me is the people. After our wonderful stay, my husband and I drove to the Loire. The next day I realized I had left my passport in the safe. After phoning it was found. They sent it to our hotel in Paris. They phoned me when it was picked up and then again the next day to make sure I had received it.

Very pretty hotel with good service, the restaurant and bistro are also good. However even bistro very formal, can be overwhelming when stopping on road trip. Probably best for people visiting the area for a few days.

Room Tip: Avoid top floor, the annexe is nocer than the main hotel.

We've stayed in many Relais et Chateaux hotels, and they never disappoint. Our recent two night stay at Levernois was no exception. We stayed in a room in Meix des Glycines and loved it - spacious and beautifully-appointed with a large bath and shower - we couldn't have asked for more. The grounds and restaurants are lovely, but its main selling point is the service. When we pulled up to the hotel, a young woman greeted us at the door while our car was parked and luggage delivered to our room. We had been given 5 bottles of wine as a gift, and were in a quandary as to how we were going to get them home. The owner told us they would take care of it, and the next morning, they were wrapped and boxed so we could put them in our luggage. Suggestions were made for activities in the area and reservations happily made for local restaurants prior to our arrival. We travel to Burgundy often, and will stay at the Hostellerie de Levernois again in the future.

We are lucky enough to be in France for a month and to have stayed at Hostellerie de Levernois for 5 nights. I completely agree with the prior review, it is as close to perfection as one can get. Jean Louis and Susan are the most gracious and accommodating hosts we could imagine. It is clear, when interacting with them, that they want their guests to be happy and comfortable and they will do whatever it takes that is possible to make it happen. We stayed in one of the Pavilion rooms when the hotel was full. Upon arrival, we were shown to one of the rooms on the parking lot side, as opposed to a room facing the sprawling front lawn. We told the young man who showed us our room we would like to be changed to the other side if at all possible. Within 5 minutes, he came back with the key to the room on our preferred side. Honestly, I don't think we would have been nearly as happy on the parking lot side. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was adequate as well. Although the decor is elegant, I have to agree with some who said we could have been anywhere, rather than in the French countryside. If we were to come back, we would likely look into a different room category, perhaps something in main building or in the Meix des Glycines. That said, for this visit, we were happy where we were.
The meals are something to behold. As you likely know if you are reading this review, Le Restaurant Gastronomique has been awarded one Michelin star. As expected, the food was wonderful, beautifully presented, and the service superb. Since we were there five nights, we were pleased to have other choices, such as the Bistro and room service, both of which we tried and were quite satisfied with.
Breakfast was cheerfully brought to our room each morning, fresh as could be. And, we only had to ask once to have coffee brought to the room early each morning and there it was!
The grounds are gorgeous and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. You should be aware the property is in Levernois (as the name suggests), not Beaune, but Levernois is a lovely small village and Beaune only a short distance away. We ventured out from Hostellerie de Levernois to Beaune, Dijon, and to other small villages nearby. We would especially recommend using the bikes offered and taking a ride around the area. There is a designated bike trail that travels through quaint villages and vineyards, something we particularly enjoyed.
Our experience here was top rate, with a beautiful hotel, impeccable service, and a lovely location. We can recommend Hostellerie de Levernois without any hesitation, but with some envy since we know we would like to come back!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the lawn side, not the parking lot side if you are in the Pavilion.
