The hotel looked great in the pictures on the website and we were not disappointed when we arrived. We felt at home as soon as we walked in as the hotel staff were really friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely room overlooking the sea and the pool area was a great place to relax. It is also in a great location being close to Ibiza town, the beach and Space which is one of the best clubs on the island. We also took advantage of the Beauty Salon and treated ourselves to a massage after a big night out. I would definitely recommend Es Vive and hope to go back there this summer.

I stayed at this hotel 3 times this year and have stayed there previous years. The rooms are smallish but smart with the refurbished ones being nicer and nice bathrooms. The hotel has a nice vibe full of party people, it can be quite chilled by the pool and then on hed kandi pool party days the pace is stepped up. The pool is quite small but the beds are confortable bt as already mentioned can get busy especially saturdays.

When you come in from the clubs its so good to know that you have another party to go to - the experience bar. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially MC, Jamie and George the nightman.

The only real downfall is its not cheap. The hotel rooms are ok but the drinks and food although excellant can add up especially when you keep putting them on your room bill. The breakfast is nice not huge variety but fresh.

The location isn't the best but ibiza town is in walking distance and its 5minutes to bora bora, space playa d'en bossa etc and buses and ferrys are available from here to ibiza town , salinas

You do get a 10% discount for booking early in the year.

Good points: very friendly staff in the hotel (less so in the bar/round the pool); great place to chill out round the pool and under shady palm trees; rooms were well air conditioned; breakfast included; Hed Kandi DJing round the pool on a Saturday afternoon; showed the Test Match in the bar (I know you don't come to Ibiza to watch the cricket, but it was the Ashes...).

Bad points: not much difference between "good (refurbished)" rooms and the unrefurbished ones - don't bother paying up; noisy lift mechanism means some rooms on top floor are unbearable - we moved and our second room was nice and quiet; views are pretty oblique, and this is not a frontline hotel, there are more buildings between here and the sea; not much in the way of good bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood (although the food/bar here are good); club tickets are expensive here relative to other places (and disappointing to have no guestlists, unlike at Ocean Drive where they have Pacha guestlist - having said that this is a better hotel than O.Drive).

Overall - had a great stay, but this could be a much better hotel with just a bit more effort. Will try somewhere else next year (Pikes? Hacienda hotel?).

Just returned from Es Vive and what a glorious stay it was. I was very pleasantly surprised that the hotel has been done up since I stayed in 2002 and the additions of Beauty Parlour and Experience Bar were very welcomed. Room was clean and a good size for 3 of us. Only thing missing was a set of drawers but it didn't really matter. The staff were charming at all times and very helpful. Food is very good and service by the pool attentive. The pool area is great and very Miami and surprisingly peaceful. The music from the DJ's is not too intrusive and by late afternoon feet are tapping all round to the music. At no point did Jason the owner annoy us - if anything he was totally charming. I would highly recommend this hotel although I'm a little scared it might be busy next year should I wish to return!!!!
