Great location, unpretentious, great food.--Not the most expensive at all--but really rather wonderful.

Having been to the Fish pot on several occasions over the years I was disappointed in the quality and amount of food on this occasion. We're they cutting back and serving small portions?

Having said that, the location is so romantic, I would possibly return some day.

“Would not go back”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

We have been to Barbados many times and are aware that the pace out there is much slower than anywhere else and that is okay, but the service here was bordering on neglectful. Yes the setting is very nice, the food was okay, nothing special but the staff need a good talking to. We waited hallf an hour before someone took our food order and there were only two other tables occupied, so it was not busy. The staff were just wandering around aimlessly. By the time we had ate our starter and main we had been there for what felt like forever. I really wanted a dessert but just couldnt be bothered waiting around for any more time. Even when we asked for the bill it took ages to bring it, then we got the cash ready and waited for someone to come and get it, nobody bothered, in the end we got up and handed the money to the lady on the 'front of house' desk. She pulled a face as obviously it wasnt her job to take the bill money. Would not go here again, if you are the manager here, seriously, sort out your staff. It felt like they were doing us a favour acknowledging us at all !!

“Rustic but not in a good way”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

We had heard a few people talk about the Fish Pot so decided to try it for a light lunch one afternoon. The decor is great and it has a beach shack feel to it with a great position overlooking the ocean. Unfortunately the positives ended there as service was very poor - staff showed little interest at all in being pleasant/attentive and the food was just very average.

We are the biggest fans of no frills dining when the focus is on the food and the service is decent but neither was the case here. Bill took ages to arrive with staff ignoring us when calling for it etc.

We asked them to order us a taxi back to our hotel which they did at the end of the meal and the waiter (who had been told it had arrived) walked straight past us - put some cutlery down on a table behind us and then on his return nonchalantly said our cab had arrived! Just no effort/etiquette or anything else on display here!

Avoid it - there are so many other great places to go

“Best seafood ever eaten!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

We went to Barbados last February and this restaurant was the closest to our hotel (Sugar Cane). It was absolutely gorgeous and the food was amazing. We ordered seafood platter for two and I was in the awe - I had never eaten such delicious seafood. You cannot go to Barbados and not visit this restaurant!
