We quite enjoyed our stay at the Golden Sands. It wasn't directly on the beach but we got used to that. We spent our short stay in Barbados taking the coolest private mini buses in the world (No. 11's) to different beaches along the south coast. We spent our last day there on the beach a short walk across the road from the hotel. There was a lot of activity just down the beach from us as we watched windsurfers going out constantly. The rooms were clean and well kept as was the hotel. During the spring there were not many people at the hotel so we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The hotel is also located a short ride from Oistins Harbour which is a wonderful place to go on Friday nights for the fish fry. Don't miss the grilled flying fish, it's to die for. Best fish we ever had. We enjoyed great drinks at the pool bar and had a most delicious club sandwhich for lunch on our last day at the hotel. My husband and I really enjoyed the privacy of the hotel and the staff were wonderful. Some day we will return.
