“Little piece of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Yes it's a bit choppier and scruffier than the west coast, but with a number of artifiicial reefs and the boardwalk attracting new restaurants, a great place to base your stay.

“Close to certain points of interest, Garrison, The Barbados Museum, Lanterns Mall, Hastings Rocks and Rockley Beach.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

This area is has frequent bus service, is well travelled during the day and at night. The Hastings area is a transition point for accessing other hotels, Bridgetown and beyond. Many of the large family homes of yesteryear have been converted to offices and commercial enterprises. Its a shame because many of those large houses represented a family structure that is no longer viable today, to lose them would be to lose an element of a rich historical past.

“Delightful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

A beautiful and clean beach, especially the areas next to the Boardwalk and at the rear of the Coconut Court Hotel. You could travel a long way to find the sea as beautiful as it appears here and I never saw any rubbish or anything dangerous along the stretches of the beach that I used. There are some stoney areas just inside the water but many other areas are very clear. There's easy access to bars and food, so just take a lounger, relax and enjoy.

“Clean and beautiful beach.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Beaches are beautiful and clean. Lovely to the eye. Difficult to get to for parking if you rent a car for hire.
