“Great holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

My husband and I spent two weeks at Savannah Beach in February and had a fantastic time. The management and staff were all so friendly and helpful it was wonderful. It is 'as it says on the tin' a 31/2 - 4 star hotel and that is what you get! Hopefully with all their plans they will get their upgrade as I think they deserve it! Great value for money for all inclusive in Barbados. Will return.

Room Tip: Had a pool access club room which was good and enjoyed the decking in the beach!

Wonderful Hotel in a brilliant location, good food friendly staff, lots of stairs to negotiate beware.
garrison racecourse close by great for an afternoon out and to mix with the locals. You should also try a trip on a cattermeran at sunset fantastic.

Room Tip: some of the rooms downstairs near to kitchen were noisy but we were moved when we asked

He never even stayed at Savannah so how can he possibly comment ??

His contract was with TNT in Boston. Goodness knows who they are, they probably took his money and had no contact with Savannah !

It's a good value hotel. most people enjoy it, the food is good, the staff are lovely, don't criticise when you've never even spent a night there !

My Wife and I booked our vacation at The Savannah in Barbados last July 19th for a one week vacation March 3rd. forty eight hours before we were supposed to leave we were notified by TNT Vacations in Boston that the resort was overbooked and we would need to spend our first two days at another resort that was about 40 miles from the Savannah.
We didn't want to go to the other resort as we looked at it but didn't like the location.
The end result is we had to cancel, we did have insurance but lost the airfare $1150.00, the insurance $198.00, the cab to the airport 108.00 and a $100.00 cancellation fee to TNT, it also cost s $300.00 to cancel the flights with American Airlines.
I've sent several e mails to the Savannah and also to Sandy Wade V.P. of Sky Hotels and Resorts and NOBODY has bothered to return them.
My WIfe and I are both retired and saved an entire year in order to be able to take this trip and losing that kind of money really hurts. BEWARE of corporate greed and book elseware, you know someplace that cares about the customer and not the bottom dollar

Had 4 days here all inclusive, from march 3rd before we did the carnival cruise.
If you are doing the cruise virgin will transport you back to the hotel to spend the rest of the day before departing to the airport. Drinks and food included, the cost is 60bd each or £20 each. Well worth it.
The staff, food, room ,beach and pool are excellent.
The hotel is very clean and we can say we have had a great time here and would definitely return.
Thanks to all the staff for a great stay.
Ps the weather was fantastic

We came to be married in Barbados and despite doing everything on our own, the hotel stuff was extremely helpful and guide us through the procedure. You will be met with smiles and excellent service, its clean and the rooms are nice. The beach is a bit rocky but close by there is sandy beaches. Big hello to mommy Jaquiline! Highly recommend if you want a quite romantic place! And we are off enjoying the rest of our vacation/honeymoon ;))

Spent the first part of February (1-10th) in this beautiful place in room 165...here's the headlines:

Location...wowzzzaaa is this place on the beach or what (yes!) It's true there is coral on the beach direclty in front of you but the water is like being in a warm bath although it can get rough.

Food...absolutely NO complaints,Rachels is excellent and the buffet restaurant is also really good. Desserts are fabulous.

Drinks...local non brand stuff, although you can pay for branded stuff if you like. Banks on draught is lovely.

Rooms...comfortable with everything you need and an air con unit that could freeze your nipples off !

Staff...amongst the friendliest we have met in the Carribean, our favourites were: Martin on the beach, top guy! Richard in Rachels bar, Lynda in Rachels , Dexter and Jaqueline at the club area on the beach, the excellent Susan in reception and Cheryl also in reception. Our houskeeper also kept the room super clean and always had time for a chat...well done to you all.

Out and about...once again the people in Hastings are just super friendly,we ventured out to Tapas 3 times, went horse racing ,went to the gap and also copocabana beach. We quite often found ourselves walking back from bars late at night and did not feel worried in the slightest...obviously you should still keep your wits about you though.

Virgin in resort...the in resort rep Donna was always on hand if you needed any help/advice. She was brilliant and an absolute credit to that particular organisation, the trip we booked through her was great ( cat cruise) we were really well looked after for the whole day. I would strongly recomend as it's a great way to get a look at other parts of the island.

Clientelle...95% friendly and out for a nice relaxing holiday, you do unfortunataley get the moaners, you know the type who refuse to enjoy their holiday who seem to go out of their way to find a problem,I remember one woman on a table of 4 complaining about the food as she was literally licking her creme brulee bowl clean, while one of her party tried to involve other tables in their complaint , all of who gave them short shrift...made my skin crawl! My advice to those people who love to moan...stay at home and be miserable so we don't have to look at you or listen to you.

Club upgrade...well worth the money, relaxed check in,stocked mini bar ,comfy area on beach ,drinks brought round constantly , fresh fruit in the am , cold facewipes in the am and the afternoon and lunch on the beach if you want it.

Overall...a fantastic holiday, great accom, staff ,food and weather what more could you want?
We are looking forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: Swim up rooms are ace
