We held my partners birthday party here and overall had a good time, but a couple of the dishes let us down, and at Queen St prices, I won`t be in a hurry to return.
My partners pasta was hard, and when I called the waiter, was told that `that`s how it`s meant to be`. I thought it was meant to enjoyed by the patron. No offer was made to compensate, but I really should have sent it back, no argument.
The seafood was good, as was the Soup of the Day, Parsnip and Asparagus. Delicious.
Beware the wine price; $120 for Moet & Chandon was gouging, but that`s our fault for not checking.
Staff were very accommodating, especially when we all raised our voices in song.
I would like to check the other restaurants in Te Aroha before returning to Berlusconi.
