We had a three day trip to Te Aroha and stayed at the Mountain Lodge. We were in the cottage across the driveway and it was just right for our stay. The room was larger than the rooms in the lodge itself and that suited us just fine fora longer stay. We had some special requirements and our host Greg sorted every thing out just fine. Very family friendly, would stay again.

Mrs C surprised me with a stay at the lodge for a night, great location and comfortable rooms, but could get a little cool in winter as some accommodation in historic house, but has great charm and is quiet. Another reason to visit the hot pools next door!

Stayed one night here while doing the Hauraki Rail Trail. Great place, good location and awesome host, greeted us with a beer after our days cycling. Easy walking distance to town and to the hot pools. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: They all seemed good we were in the main building.

We stayed at Aroha Mountain Lodge for the second time last week. It was as great as the first trip. Greg and Linda provide a comfortable, pretty and quiet place to stay in a georgous little town with a history of gold rush and health spas. You are situated next door to the spa and they will book you for any treatment you want. There is a geyser that is soda bicar and doesn't stink like the sulfur geysers. We take visitors there for a relaxing visit. Last year we took our three grandsons and their dad and booked the house so we had a home away from home. The new rooms outside are pretty and provide all you need for a comfortable stay. Greg and LInda also run the Gold Rush House, a cute little house with two bedrooms for a small group.

Room Tip: Swimming pool and spa next door is excellent.

Turned up here with my friend by chance, and lucked out! We had the Lodge to ourselves for the night. Greg gave us a good price for the 2 queen rooms, and urged us to walk next door to the Mineral Spas and book a time. We had enough time for a glass of wine on the deck before heading next door. Both our rooms had comfortable beds, mine had a very small but adequate ensuite also. WiFi was available (but difficult to pick up, even on the verandah). The kitchen was very well appointed.
Overall a gorgeous timber lodge and a lovely stay in this town

We arrived tired and weary from cycling from Thames on the Hauraki Rail Trail and were met by a very happy and lovely host, Linda. After storing our bikes she managed to bump our booking at the local spa baths forward a few hours. The Te Aroha Mineral Spas are just next door and were amazing. Hot wooden tubs - would definitely recommend the romance package! Aroha Mountain Lodge is an absolutely beautiful lodge in a stunning location and was absolutely perfect. Only a short stroll down the hill to the small town with lovely restaurants and cafes for breakfast if you so wish.
