“A relaxed, classic hotel with exceptional service from lovely people!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

Our second honeymoon hotel was different from the modern chic of Chez Charles in Lumio, but just as delightful. Loredana is clearly one of chic Saint Florent's most chic destinations. It feels faintly Californian and photos of previous guests including George Clooney and Iggy Pop add to the allure, as does the grand piano in the comfortable lobby.

Our room was, once again, a honeymoon upgrade: a deluxe sea view overlooking the pool. The room was beautifully furnished with large, vibrant original art work on the walls. A huge shower, jacuzzi bath and gorgeous toiletries (the fig shower gel is divine) add to the feeling of confident luxury.

Breakfast was served wherever we wished (on our balcony or by the pool) and was ample, of high quality and we didn't quibble with the €23 charge. Indeed, the service from a charming chap whose name we didn't catch and from Nathalie (whose name we did catch) was second to none. Being served iced water in a craquelure carafe, with ice cubes in a mini champagne bucket at our double loungers by the pool was bliss!

The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but serves cold platters and these served well on the day after our tour of Cap Corse which we spent by the pool.

The manager and her staff were quite lovely, offering us a honeymoon aperitif and sending us off with a jar of quite exceptional honey (as supplied to the George V hotel in Paris!)

We have just returned from having spent seven nights at this wonderful hotel. It is not a cheap place to stay but it it is worth every centime.

All the staff are highly professional, very approachable, helpful and extremely friendly. They clearly enjoy talking to their clients and showing an interest in them. When we left we felt we were leaving friends.

The room we had was beautiful with a magnificent view over the bay and the west coast of Cap Corse. The bathroom was exceptional and fitted with the best shower we have encountered in a French hotel for many years. The toiletries were all top quality and replaced every day and we were inundated with frequently changed bath towels.

The breakfast is expensive but it is a feast and a delight to behold. It was brought up to us each morning by a smiling girl and we ate it on the balcony overlooking the azur sea. In fact there was too much for us to eat at the beginning of the day so the pastries and the remaining fruit were placed in the minibar to stay fresh until lunchtime.

The pool area is a delight with areas in the shade or in the full sun. The infinity pool is not heated but this did not prevent us from using it. An indoor heated pool is also available. Comments have been made about the hotel not having a restaurant. In our opinion this is an advantage as the hotel is only 10 minutes away on foot from the nearest (and best) restaurant and about 15 minutes from the others in the port. There is such a variety of good restaurants in St Florent providing both seafood and Corsican fare that a restaurant at the hotel would be redundant. (See our postings on l'Auberge du Pêcheur, l'Arrière-Cour, U Furnellu and U Troglu).

We completely fell in love with St Florent and with this hotel. Thank you to all of you. We shall be back.

I spent three nights at this property. The rooms were very clean and a nice size. The staff was so nice and went out of their way to be helpful. They had a nice infinity pool. The cons are that they do not have a restaurant and what food they do offer is very expensive and limited. The decor is a bit dark and heavy for a beach town but very clean and just a few minute wal to the cent of St. Florent.

I enjoyed three nights stay at this lovely hotel in St. Florent. Perched high on a steep hill the views from this hotel are amazing. We checked in really early and the staff quickly had our room ready for us. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk into town, where all of the restaurants and shops are located, so if you don't have a car you will be doing this walk pretty often. The hotel itself is immaculate (the rooms are huge) and our room had a really nice balcony. They don't really have a big selection of food at this hotel (and what is there is pretty expensive, mostly breads and charcuterie), so we ate in town the entire time. The staff were great for making a reservation and recommending places. The pool area was gorgeous, lot's of sun beds and the infinity pool was beautiful. There were a few families staying here at the time, but it was still very romantic, and felt like you were staying there alone for the most part. If you are interested in beaches the best thing to do is rent a boat or get a water taxi to take you to one of the gorgeous because in the area, as St.Florent itself doesn't really have any beaches with sand. I would absolutely stay there again, it was worth the money.

This is a beautiful hotel in St. Florent. Each room has it's own character and the views are stunning. The pool area is lovely too though the beach across the street is not that great. The staff is very accomodating and friendly. Sadly, they don't have a restaurant and there was not much activity in the main lobby with the lovely piano.
No need to take your car in to town, it is a lovely 10 minute walk. There may be issues with the steep hill up to the hotel for elderly people walking or young mothers with prams.

My husband and I stayed at Demeure Loranda for three nights during our trip to Corsica. We did not arrive until after 11:30PM after having traveled for almost 20 hours. The man on duty at the front desk was very accommodating and nice. He showed us to our room and gave us directions to a couple of restaurants that may still be open. We were able to find a bar that was just closing where we were able to 2 sandwiches to go. Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool and the sea in the distance. There was wifi access in the lobby. The room had a mini fridge so we bought breakfast provisions. The breakfast at the hotel was 23 euros. The hotel staff does not speak much English but they do everything possible to make sure you enjoy your stay. The pool area was clean and attractive and there were plenty of lounge chairs. We were able to get a 3 night special online at the hotel website, but the hotel is still more expensive than other hotels in the area.

Very kind and helpfull staff, especially the gentleman who greeted us when we checked in late at night. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is a place for yoiu if you prefer to stay in a B&B style hotel. Room is comfortable. Bathroom is spacious with high quality amenities. Hotel is not centrally located so you need a car to get around. One small thing worth mentioned is that the housekeeping left our door opened after cleaning the room. Otherwise, this place is charming and relaxing.
